Along Came a Spider by James Patterson

I just finished reading Along Came A Spider by James Patterson. This book is targeted for the thriller/suspense genre. it takes place in Washington, D.C.

This book is about two kids from two wealthy families who get kidnapped by a man who poses as their teacher. The whole novel is about a whole team of people who are working hard to find the kids. Patterson switches points of view every few chapters so that the reader can see the story unravel from other perspectives, not just the main character's.

I personally loved the book. I feel that the author kept enough details hidden to the point that the reader would be mind blown when they were revealed. Many people don't really like the writing style that James Patterson uses in his books, but I personally do. I have to admit, I have read many other James Patterson books, and I have loved them all. The only problem I have with this particular book is where he talks about how one of the character's wives died. In other books in this series (I am ashamed to admit that I read this series out of order before discovering my mistake) he gives a different account on how she died.

I just finished reading American Literature: The Text Vook by Dr. Vook. There are many text books on many different subjects by this author. This book would fall in the category of nonfiction.

This book talks about the major literary movements throughout American history. It starts at the beginning of the forming of America, and it ends with the very last major literary change in American Literature. It covers many important events, themes, and authors.

I'm sure that I am one of very few to say that I really enjoyed and loved this book. It is very short, but it covered all the important points that it needed to cover. It has been written in a way that would make it interesting for many types of readers. I think it really helped me get a somewhat better understanding of literature. I fully recommend it.
Moon Dance by J.R. Rain

I recently finished the book Moon Dance. This book is written by J.R. Rain. It is the first book in the Vampire For Hire series. It takes place in and near Orange County, California.

This book is about a woman who is happily married with two children who she adores with all her heart. Through an accident that happens to her, she becomes a vampire. She loses her job and her normal life. She goes into her own private practice as a private investigator so she can make her own hours to work with her new biological schedule. In Moon Dance, she helps a lawyer find out who shot him five times in broad daylight.

Personally, I enjoyed this book for its storyline. However, I don't think that everybody will share my sentiments on this. for one, there are a lot of points in the book that force you to draw your own conclusions and assumptions. Personally, I enjoy books like these. Secondly, there are many instances where very advanced vocabulary is used. I see this as a plus personally, but many wont. Lastly, there are many things that are brought up that I felt should of been described in better detail. Nonetheless, I still found this book to be highly enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anybody who asks my opinion.

I just finished reading Vampire Moon. It is the second book in the Vampire For Hire series written by J.R. Rain. Like the first book, it takes place in Orange County, California.

This book is about a man who's wife died in a plane crash on her way to testify against a drug lord. Sam is hired by him to get justice against the drug lord because he feels his wife was murdered. She is also hired to protect a woman who's ex-husband is trying to kill her. Even from prison he's still hiring people to go after her.

I have to admit, I didn't really take this series too seriously when I read the first one. I thought it was a good and funnily written book, but it wasn't nearly what I would call a favorite. The second book has entirely changed my opinion of it though. It kept me wanting to turn the pages. I was angry when she was angry, sad when she was sad, and cheering her on all through the book. I can't wait to continue reading the rest of this series. It's definitely worth it! I wouldn't exactly put it at my top favorites, but it's close. My only concerns with this book are the same as my concerns with my first book. She uses way too many high dollar vocabulary words that many will find very frustrating.
The Awakening by L.J. Smith

I just finished The Awakening. It is the first book in the Vampire Diaries series. It is written by L.J. Smith. It takes place in a small town called Mystic Falls.

This book is about a vampire looking to find a small town to settle down in and forget about his past. There he meets a girl who looks exactly like his past love. He discovers that she is the queen bee of her high school. The book is written in both of their viewpoints. Occasionally you see the viewpoints of others, but they are very rare, and they are only used to bring in important parts.

I have read this book before. I have actually read the first four or five books in this series. I liked them the first time, but I don't feel I really fully paid attention the first time around. I do believe that this is the first book that I didn't like the main character at first. I felt that they felt the world revolved around them and nobody's feelings or opinions mattered but their own. I felt they needed a big reality check on many different occasions. I think the author does this on purpose though. I think they did it so that you can see the transformation this character goes through throughout the story. I would recommend this book and series to anybody that I feel would be interested in this genre. I would especially recommend it to young adults.

I just finished American Vampire. It is the third book in the Vampire For Hire series. It is written by J.R. Rain. It takes place in Orange County, California.

This book is about a girl who goes missing along with her mother. Sam does everything in her power to find the little girl. She also helps an art gallery locate a very valuable piece that got stolen. Her son also gets sick. She struggles to balance all of these things throughout the book.

I understand this series more and more as I keep reading into it. This one helped me understand that the advanced vocabulary is set up because that's how Sam talks naturally. I love ho J.R. Rain captures your attention and keeps it all the way through the books! I can't wait to read the rest of this series! I highly recommend it!

I just finished reading moon child. It is the fourth book in the Vampire For Hire series. It is written by J.R. Rain. It takes place in Orange County, California.

This book is about Sam turning her son into a vampire to save him from dying. She then goes to try to find a way to reverse it and make him a human again. She does this while trying to protect the piece that will reverse it. In this book, she also finds herself having problems with her relationship with Kingsley, and she developed with Fang grows stronger every day.

I almost put this book down and quit reading it after a certain part, but I'm glad I didn't. I loved it. It was different from the rest of the series, but in a good way. I' so glad I came across this series! I can't wait to read the rest of the series! I also plan to read other books by J.R. Rain as well.
