I read this with my middle school daughter and we both loved it. For the most part it's a very benign story (for a young adult book) and it's an intriguing concept of a dystopian society dictating everything in a citizen's life. We loved it. My daughter is reading the whole trilogy. That's on my maybe list--and only because I don't have as much time as she does.

I tried. I really did. I heard so many good things about this book and so many bad things that I wanted to read it for myself. I got about 60% of the way through when I stumbled upon a spoiler. Then I had a friend spill even more and after that ... ? I just lost interest. Maybe one day when I have completely forgotten those spoilers, I'll pick it up again.

These character were so great. I could see them clearly and even could anticipate their actions because they were so clearly defined by the author. The story line was wonderful as well. What person hasn't reached a point that he/she thinks, "This is it?" and then sighs in resignation. Great read.

This book wasn't really my cup of tea. But I kept reading because I was sucked into the story--that's good writing, right there!

I thought I had it figured out on several different occasions. I was wrong. And when the end was revealed, I almost felt tricked. It was very easy. And then I felt there was no resolution to a certain extent. I enjoyed it, though.

The sign of a good book is that you want to know more. You want to keep reading. You want it to keep reading so much that you even read the font information at the back in the hopes that the author gives you one last glimpse of the characters' lives that you've come to love. This was such a good book with a great message. I love that the protagonist continued to second guess herself through the entire story. She was the epitome of a sophomoric high school student who lacks the self-confidence that they all think they have. Great read!

Tracy yet again tells us her truths with honesty, humor and words that leave us nodding our heads in agreement.

Very sweet story, but the ending was just too perfect.

This is beautifully written and I barely even noticed the science behind it because it was so understandable. The only flaw I have with it is that I have diagnosed myself with early onset.

The family's situation--all around--was gut wrenching.

This did not hold me as much as I thought it would. I don't want to say too much because I don't want it to seem like I'm complaining, and I'm trying to be complaint free. ;) (See what I did there?) I just expected more. It might have been more enjoyable if I had gone into it without any expectations.
