Loved the MMC way more than the FMC. His arc through this book was fantastic.

ARC Review- This was such a cute sports romance. I, for one, am not the biggest fan of the instalove trope, but I couldn’t help myself from giggling and kicking my feet when Josie and Wes met. They had so much chemistry for a one-night stand!! But what is supposed to be one night turns into many, obviously, when they become housemates, forced to live together. And I loved them together. The chemistry and respect they have for each other? I loved Josie so much, and I have a soft spot for this girl who’s trying to navigate San Francisco with a list to live her life. She’s just so relatable, lovable, and mature. Wes was such a sweetheart and his acts of service? Phew, okay! 😮💨 Classic brother’s teammate turned into forbidden romance. I love it, give me 50 more! And the narration by Erin and Connor is honestly so amazing— they really brought the characters to life. I haven’t had this much fun listening to an audiobook. Thank you for this ARC and ALC, Lauren Blakely and her team.

Get you a guy who builds you your very own library!
Honestly, all the LDR girlies will love this book! Wesley Bryant is the absolute boyfriend goal! Yes, you can bet his fine, tatted arm that he most certainly is!
Josie and Wes thought they were signing up for a simple one-night stand. Just one steamy night between strangers—that was the plan. But surprise! Josie happens to be the sister of Wes's teammate and, plot twist: his new roommate. So, naturally, they set some "roomie rules" that were just begging to be broken. Watching them struggle to stick to the rules had me on the edge of my seat, waiting for one of them to finally crack. And crack they did when the much-anticipated "screw it" moment finally arrived! It was 5 AM and I was like “It’s about time, you guys!”
Josie's Aunt left her a bucket list from beyond the grave, full of daring adventures Josie wouldn't dream of doing. Naturally, it took her a while to tick them off. Enter Wesley, who stumbled upon the list and decided they should tackle it together. Spoiler alert: that list was pure gold! It coaxed Josie out of her shell and gave Wesley a much-needed nudge to remember that life isn't all about hockey. Who knew a list could remind you how to have fun?
Honestly, Josie going through the list not just with Wes but with her friends as well felt like the ultimate masterclass in moving on and finding closure. The reminders to keep pushing forward were like little pep talks from beyond. Watching Josie grow throughout the chapters was like seeing a caterpillar transform into a butterfly—bolder, braver, and most importantly, happy by the end.
Also, the brother's teammate/best friend trope is seriously stepping up its game! I loved how the classic “touch my sister and die” threats are turning into more reasonable conversations—because, let's be honest, it really can be worked out, right? That was a major highlight for me in this book!

Sweet, cozy hockey romance. Perfect for climbing the ladder out of my onyx Storm slump
