I'm already forgetting the plot as we speak because there wasn't really much of it. It's not an offensive book by any means, and it was sweet at points, but it just didn't really affect me at all.

Such a cute read. It doesn't take itself too seriously and appeals to my nerdy heart. I wouldn't approach it with high expectations, but it does the job of being sweet, heartwarming, age appropriate, and properly nerdy. Loved it!

It wasn't the best book ever, but I plan to continue reading the series because the characters are lovable and it was a lighthearted book while still diving into some heavier topics.

I loved this book.
Thankfully, unlike a lot of second chance romance tropes, it doesn't at all involve infidelity, and it still deals with a very real issue that can creep up on pretty much anyone.
I love that the characters love each other quietly and learn how to do it loudly as time goes on, whether in the good or in the bad times.
Was it a little unrealistic at points? Was Adam basically an annoyance for the majority of the book, despite the narrator singing his praises? Yeah. But eventually, even Adam mellows and you can see how good a friend he is. Overall, I would absolutely (and probably will) re-read this book.

I didn't have expectations going into this read, and I absolutely loved the book.
I've lost all my grandparents (never met my grandfathers, they passed before I was born), and I've wrestled with that grief in my lifetime, though not to the extreme of the MC. Loss is a gripping thing and it drives you to strange places, so I don't think the premise of the book was incredibly unbelievable or unrelatable.
I gave this book five stars because I think the characters were both realistic and gentle with each other. I love to see characters develop together and grow to understand and support each other. That is usually all I ask of a romance book, that it not be meaningless but rather purposeful with and kind to its characters.
It stays true to its genre, so if contemporary romance isn't your thing, I wouldn't have unrealistic expectations. But as far as the genre goes? I loved it.
