The Hero She Loves by Anna Hackett
5.0
Absolutely devoured this one!! I’ve been loving this whole series, and this one was no exception! I was so intrigued by Parker after we met him in the previous book, and absolutely loved him. He’s got some demons in his past, but with Jenna? Those demons don’t bother him quite as much. Parker & Jenna make such a good team, and I loved Jenna’s determination. This one’s got allll the action and suspense, and plenty of heat between these two. It was a quick read that had me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t put it down! So good!

West & Skylar. I love them. The dynamic between these two was so much fun. The banter, that push and pull… I ate it up! I looooved seeing West as a dad. Him with his kids? Swoon. I adored Emmy and her confidence, and the way Ollie opened up to Skylar so quickly?! MY HEART. I loved the way West built up Skylar; the way he gave her security and honesty, the way he showed up for her and pushed her to show up for herself. I loved Skylar’s bravery. Even if she didn’t feel it, she allowed herself to do things differently and to step out on her own and find what she wanted. I want to be like her. West & Skylar are both battling insecurities and how to navigate this thing between them when they’re from two different worlds, but they’re meant to be. Neither could walk away, and I just love them together. So so so good, and I cannot wait for more!!
When We Dare by J.H. Croix

I couldn’t wait for Hudson & Stella after the glimpse of them in All the Afters, and I loved them! These two have an instant chemistry even with a couple rough first encounters, but they can only avoid it for so long when they end up as neighbors. Both Hudson & Stella have reasons for not wanting anything series, having more in common about their pasts than they realized, but there’s too much of a connection between them. I always love the small town Alaska vibes, and getting to see all the characters from some of the other series set in Willow Brook. JH’s books are some of my favorite firefighter romances. This was a quick, swoony read that I couldn’t put down, and I loved it!

Your Rule To Break by Rachel Laberge
5.0
The way I’m obsessed with Zack & Emilie…oh they’re just so good. These two are made for each other and have such chemistry from the beginning. I’m a sucker for some fake dating, especially if there’s a chance at an “it’s never been fake” moment. Cue the swooning. There’s such an ease between these two because they started out as such good friends, and their relationship progression felt so natural. Zack is v much a golden retriever boyfriend, and I’m here for it. I loved that he became such a safe space for Emilie. He shows up for her and is clearly down bad for her, even before he admits it. I adore Emilie and how sweet she is. My heart broke for what she’s been through with her family, and she felt so much more real with her mental health struggles. I fall more and more in love with Rachel’s work with each book, and this one was so sweet and captivating and I just loved it all. I absolutely devoured this one and couldn’t put it down. So good.

Steal My Heart by Laura Pavlov

Easton & Henley are everything, and I’m already obsessed with Rosewood River. I was living for the banter between these two. I loved Easton’s internal thoughts and how annoyed he was that he had any kind of feeling or attraction for his boss’ daughter. Henley’s determination and work ethic had me in awe of her–she’s not afraid to work hard and to earn her place. There’s so much more to Easton than meets the eye, and I really love Easton & Henley together. Plus that forbidden element made it that much more delicious. We got more of the fun text banter, I loved getting to meet more of the Chadwicks, and I loved getting to see Emerson, Nash, and Beefcake too! I absolutely loved this one, and it’s such a good start to a new series!

All the Missing Pieces by Catherine Cowles
5.0
Catherine has done it again, the queen of small town suspense!!! I ate this one up! I absolutely loved the dynamic between Colt & Ridley and the way they pushed each other’s buttons! My heart absolutely broke for the pain these two have been carrying around with them, and loved that they found a safe space and understanding in each other…even if it took them a hot minute to get there! Tater was such a fun addition to the story (she truly was living the life like the princess she is), and I loved getting to know all the people in Shady Cove along the way. I couldn’t put this one down and was absolutely shocked at the unsub reveal. Catherine truly is a master at her craft, and I just love her books so much. There might be serial unalivers running around all her stories, but they feel like such big warm hugs and I love them. This one’s going to be living in my head rent free for a while. Absolutely obsessed.

Visions of Darkness by A.L. Jackson

I’ve never been a romantasy girlie, but I devoured this one!! With Amy being one of my favorite authors, I was absolutely willing to try a new genre and I loved it! Pax & Aria shift between different realities while awake and asleep, fighting against evil in the world of Faydor at night. Their love is technically forbidden, never having met during the day, but they’re truly soulmates across every reality. I mean this man travels across the country to find her when she’s in trouble. Pax & Aria’s connection is so strong and was so captivating to read about. Between Pax’s loyalty and protectiveness over her and Aria’s fierce compassion...they make an incredible team. I enjoyed the adventure, the mystery and intrigue, and the love between Pax & Aria. I still have so many questions, and that ending?!?!?! I need more!! I really enjoyed this one, and loved getting a taste of fantasy!

Forbidden Dreams by Natasha Madison

I don’t know what Natasha’s putting in this series, but between the first book and this one? Obsessed. It has my whole heart. Brady & Harmony tug on all the heartstrings and has all the swoony moments. I mean the way this man shows up for her and her son from the second they move next door!! That protectiveness?! SWOON. I don’t think he even realized what was happening at first, but this man fell and fell hard, and I ate it up. Seeing Brady with Wyatt? Stick a fork in me, I’m done. And can we talk about how freaking strong Harmony is?! With everything her slimy spoiled ex put her through? (he made me big mad) She deserves all the love and support Brady give her. She deserves the world. I loved this one so much.

Obsessed. Actually obsessed. The dynamic between Wade & Ivy is *chef’s kiss*. Oh I love them. Wade is the grumpiest and has quite a mouth on him…my favorite type of MMC! Ivy dishes back just as good as she gets, and pushes this broody man to open up. I absolutely loved being back at Silver Pines, and enjoyed every second of this one! I loved getting to see the rest of the Not Angels and the Ashby fam too! Just perfect!

Crossroads of Obsession by Danielle M. Haas, Danielle M. Haas

Tucker & Elizabeth. I love them. These two have a world of hurt between them, but Elizabeth and her daughter in danger means they’re forced to spend time together and face their past. I eat those tropes up every time, and this one kept me on the edge of my seat! I cannot wait to get into the next Injured Heroes book!
