Some of these felt more like inner dialogue and musings than stories.

I'm reading children's books in English and Spanish to improve comprehension of Spanish. This one was very cute, and I enjoyed the audiobook reader reading the English first, then the Spanish, so I had an idea of how the story went, and could piece words in Spanish together with the context in the back of my head.

May has a way of writing that brings you right along with her, walking on the same drizzly path as she reflects on nature and technological advances in our present.

As I become more disenchanted by the online, superficial world of social media, I simultaneously find I am wistful for the day of my childhood, where I spent a lot of time outdoors, reading physical books, playing with others, and exploring the woods with my camera and curiosity. And then, I stumbled upon this book.
It reminds me a lot of Hilda, a girl, her deerfox companion, and her friends who explore the natural and magical world around them, all set in a Scandinavianesque setting. Hilda in real life. I'm also reading this at the same time as I'm reading Enchantment by Katherine May, which is an excellent pairing, if you're at all inclined.
I am happily nudged toward a life that is more aligned with friluftsliv than it is with consumerism and disconnection. I'm grateful for this book and the inspiration it provides.

Every. Single. Sentence.
There's no flow to the dictation and it's distracting me from the plot. I can't do 11 hours of this.
