Best Kind of Awkward by Becca Seymour

Good start to this multi author series.
I liked both Will and Colton. Both had their own histories that shaped their lives before meeting each other, and I liked that they each took the time to get to know each other before bringing it all up. I felt for a Colton as he didn’t get much of a chance but I liked that he reacted like a adult and didn’t automatically assume things but also was prepared to talk it out. With the way it worked out it wasn’t really needed but he was prepared to do it.
Good start and an enjoyable read

Worst book of the series. It was actually pointless and had a silly plot.
Obsidian was not a fun character to read. He was rude and obnoxious. Yes he changed when they took Alison away, but that was only to do what they wanted so she could come back.
Alison was also a doormat.
First book of the series I've upped he speed to finish it quicker as I was getting to the point I didn't want to continue.

I like this series. It has a different feel to it, compared to the Chosen One, but I'm really enjoying it.
I really like the idea of the pack and how it is set up in this series, the humans are just as important as the other pack members and they participate in helping the other pack members and not getting sidelined fearing their fragile state.
I enjoyed the storyline between Gideon and Taj, I felt they worked well together when they started talking and putting the past behind them. It worked for me that they could both feed each other.
I adored Taj's friendship with Erich. It was nice to see that things didn't automatically work out for him when he landed in the human realm and the friendship he made stuck. They did everything to help the other and Erich wasn't forgotten once Gideon came back on the scene.
Looking forward to seeing how Aleron and Spencer (I was hoping we would see him again when we meet him in Zach and Roan's book) will work it out.

The is the first book I've read from this shared author world of Colliers Creek, but won't be the last.
It was great to see Xavier's brother Max and the differing personalities between the twins. I liked Max and Nash together. Nash's grumpy personality bounced well off of Max's more happy go lucky one. I liked that while Max had money, he wasn't obnoxious with it. Yes he wanted to help people out, but he asked them if he could first and didn't just push it on them.
The mystery was ok, I don't feel like we had a resolution and I'm not sure if it is carrying across to the next book or not. I also felt this one rushed in places. There were a couple of times I got myself lost thinking I had missed something but only to find out it was skip in the narrative. The main one was when Nash met Max at the pub after he had stayed at the ranch. For all Max knew Nash hated him (and I don't buy the reason why to be honest) and then they met at the pub and Nash asks if he can sit down, then next paragraph they were in bed together. How did we get here? If I was reading a paperback I would have checked the page numbers.
I would have liked to have seen more from MAx's interactions with some of the side characters, especially Robin and the ranch hands. She was the reason he was there and then once he got together with Nash she was kind of forgotten.
All in all a good afternoons read that has now made me want to check out the other stories from this world.

Not my favourite and that’s because of Tiger. I just don’t like him at times. He was back and forth so many times. He didn’t want anyone to know they were together but also didn’t want her to see anyone else. At least Zandie wasn’t a doormat.

Good start to a new spin off series. It’s hard to review it as I don’t want to let anything slip that happens.
I liked it but it did take me longer to engage with this story and I’m not sure why. I really liked Logan and Bailey together. They worked well and I liked that Logan gave Bailey time when he needed it.
I adored Bailey’s friends and how they were treated by the pack. They looked out for him even when he didn’t understand the depths of their friendship group. I also liked the pack and their interesting with Bailey and his friends. I can’t believe that even though I’d read who’s books were next, I never clicked who Scout was, it just didn’t correlate in my mind.
I enjoyed the storyline and didn’t pick the bad guy until it was revealed. I really like how this one resolves, it was different than anticipated.
Looking forward to continuing on to Gideon’s story

While this one wasn't my favorite, I did like it.
It branched off a bit different from the previous books of the series and I actually really liked how it ended and am looking forward to seeing where the story heds to next
I liked Ozias, he came off a bit stiff but his interactions with Ryan and Robin were well done. I also liked that he was prepared to do what was required of him and to stick by his mother. I did like the relationship between the two.
I did feel like the relationship between Achim and Ozias could have used a little bit more work but still enjoyed it.
Looking forward to seeing where this leads

I was really looking forward to finding out more about Roan and Zachary, especially how they met etc but I think this one suffered from half the story happening before we were introduced to them in the previous book and also away from the pack.
It took a little for me to warm up to Zachary to be honest. When he was blurting things out here and there it came across to me a bit annoying. Once they were actually together it improved for me.
I loved them together, the guys worked well as mating pair.
I also enjoyed Roan's guardianship. It was different than we have seen before. I thought the interactions fro both MCs with the trees was really well done.
I surprised myself because I did like the fact that Roan didn't stop doing what he did best just because he was mated. Yes it meant time apart but he had a job to do and it had to be done. Zachary was also really well portrayed throughout this period. It also gave him time to create bonds and find his place inside the pack without Roan getting in the way. I enjoyed the friendships Zachary made throughout the book. I wish we found out more about his magic ability though.
I'm very much looking forward to Ollies book now.

I liked the story here but unfortunately hated the voice used for Wrath so it took out a level of enjoyment for me. The fact that this is the first one I haven't liked one of the voices is pretty good for this narrator
I loved Lauren and her friend Amanda was a hoot, I hope we get back to her story eventually. Wrath was also a good character, I liked that he was so conscious of hurting Lauren and how they communicated throughout.
