I had issues with this one and it was all on Darkness
Kat I liked but Darkness came off as a jerk for the majority of the book. His back and forth was annoying and the way he treated Kat was terrible.
Kat was a good strong female character. She did forgive Darkness a bit easily but she also had the courage to walk away and try and protect herself

When I started this one I was excited for Jack’s story but also a little apprehensive with the blurb. We’ve seen Jack and his siblings grow up from childhood, so I really wanted him to find the right mate. I shouldn’t have been worried. This one met all my expectations
I loved the interactions between Jack and Coal. Once they got together they were all it. I’m still not sure why Coal was so hesitant but at least he didn’t go back and forth once the decision was made.
I liked seeing Coal lose it after Jak was taken and how everyone all worked together understanding his pain, to help him find his lost mate. I also really liked that they took into account Jack’s injuries and he didn’t miraculously get better and able to chase after the baddie again. He had to take time to heal and this gave the guys time to get to know each other as mates as well.
The reveal of the oracle was done well for me. I didn’t pick him and I thought it was funny that Jack knew when everyone else didn’t. Looking forward to Ben’s book now

I liked this one as we get closer to finding out who the big baddie is and more importantly who the oracle is.
I feel liked there was some hints given but I can’t work it out.
I was looking forward to this one and it didn’t disappoint. I was wondering how Ms Blake was going to work out the logistics of the guys being together. Both have very different lives and it was interesting seeing how they would combine them.
I love Spencer in all his nerdy glory. I love that he can immerse himself in the research and forget everything around him. Also the way the pack understood his quirks and worked with him. They helped him in stressful situations get the information out of his brain by being calm and talking it out with him.
Aleron was fabulous too. Watching him understand that he is part of the pack and enjoying that connection was great. His time with Spencer gave him the opportunity to appreciate the parts of life he had never been subjected to. The parts that money can’t buy.
Looking forward to the next installment.

The last few have been a miss for me so I was pleasantly surprised that this one ramped it up and returned to what mad the series great.
The storyline paralleled Ellie and Fury's but that is what worked and this one had me wanting to listen well after I had arrived at my destination and needed to stop.
I loved Jeanie anyhow calm she remained no matter what was thrown at her. She coped to task force and the new species treating her with suspicion and just kept on. I hurt for her reading it. She never wavered in her devotion to True and the others at her facility.
I really liked how the new species that were at the facility all got together and stood up for her. they helped her clear her name.I found it interesting that the new species were better at treating her even under suspicion than their human counterparts. Although with that many new species wanting to stick up for her surely they should have realised there was a problem with the information they had.
Fabulous addition to the series

I liked parts of this one, but because it was so short it didn't give the guys enough time to actually bond.
I love Cosmo and enjoyed that this showcased the friendships he's made throughout his time in the human world, but felt that Silenus didn't really convince him that they were meant to be together. I wanted more here.
I did like the way it worked out how Silenus came to be stuck there with Cosmo.

I liked this one way more than the first book. It just seem to flow better and even though the guys are kinky it worked better within the storyline and didn't come out of left field liked the first book.
The first date killed me, I felt so sorry for Miles. To be in his head and understand just how his anxiety affected his interactions slayed me. Kudos to Trent for manning up and admitting that he didn't give the date a chance and then progress to having a friendship with Miles. That gave Miles the ability to get comfortable with him and let his true personality out.
I loved Trent too. He came across as all put together but wasn't really. Watching him connect with both Miles and Buddy was fabulous.
Buddy was hilarious and a great addition to the series. There were some fun moments in this one that had me laughing out loud. Looking forward to meeting more of the Montgomery boys.
Can't wait to read Ben and Robin's story next

Ok I have issues with this one. My stubbornness and ability to speed this one up was the only reason I finished it.
Don't get me wrong I loved Moon, he was a hit in previous books and even in his angry state was still fabulous. I loved when he came out of the drugs and watching him pick up his friendship with Harley and taking the responsibility when things went wrong. My issues were solely on Joy's head.
Making her his previous therapist didn't work for me, because even though she let him as a patient as she didn't want to break her ethics (thank god) she still spoke to him as a therapist all the time. The other doctor while annoying in his delivery was right, she may as well have just called herself a sex therapist cause she didn't try and get his attention first and talk to him, she used her body.
It got better once Moon was better as he had more of an even playing field and she didn't seem to be constantly checking his mental health.
The last maybe 20% of the book was the most enjoyable for me.

There were parts of this one I really liked but there were also parts that didn't work.
I loved the guys and the way they connected. Both guys had great relationships with their kids. I enjoyed seeing how they interacted, and I enjoyed seeing the kids blossom, especially Nathan as the story progressed.
The way the guys were thrown together worked. Once Paxton got over his misconceptions and actually opened his eyes and saw Baxter he got see behind the mask and saw the real Baxter. They really connected and that part was very entertaining.
The part that didn't work for me were the sex scenes. It felt like we took a massive detour from the storyline here. Up until then it was quite light and enjoyable but then when they got to the bedroom Paxton turned all domineering. It just didn't work.

Great addition to the series and it was nice to enjoy one after the last few.
In this one we get to see two new species get together. Beauty was a good character, she was fighting the restrictions that had been placed on her. They placed them with good intentions but they restricted her regardless. Shadow gave her the opportunity to break free and live like everyone else.
I loved Shadow and how well he treated Beauty. He had his own issues to work through but he did the best he could. They took a bit to get together but they communicated well.
Good addition

I was really looking forward to this one as I loved what I had seen of JD and Ben in the previous books. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations.
It had great potential and the storyline was good in parts but I feel like the author wrote herself into a corner at times especially with JD recognizing that he was Ben's boss and shouldn't do anything with him. The way that was resolved did work but getting there was hard work. He spent so much time internally talking about how it shouldn't happen and then shouldn't happen again etc., it dragged the story down.
I also didn't like the parts with Ben's husband and how everyone reacted to the news. His mother's reaction was just silly and I don't care that she was processing everything and would get over it, if my mother told me she wanted me to go back to an abusive partner instead of the new partner because he was older and my boss, I'd never speak to her again.
I did love the side characters. Gloria was a treat and kept the story moving and entertaining when it could have got bogged down.
It was an easy read and not bad story wise, I was just expecting something more and weas a little disappointed.
