I just finished reading Disconnected by L. Calell. It is about a woman who struggles to reconnect herself after being traumatized for so long. Her husband is doing everything he can to help her through it. He keeps showing her love even though she is literally unable to return that love. She is also trying to reconnect with her mother after a long absence.

This book was a very hard read. I don’t say this because it was a bad read. I say it because a very tough topic was brought up. I actually think very highly of this writer for being able to write something so heavy. This was a very beautifully written story. I felt for all of the characters. I could understand everybody’s points of view and why they felt the way they felt. It’s not often you find that kind of thing in stories. I can honestly say I was really pulled in.

There wasn’t really much that I didn’t like about this book. In fact, I can’t think of anything at all that I didn’t like. It was a very heavy read. I think that needs to be put out there. No matter how heavy it was, it was still a great read. I’m glad I was given the opportunity to read it.

I fully recommend this book to many women out there. I don’t know if Lifetime still does movies, but they used to air dramatic movies all the time. I was reminded of that when I read this story. I guess what I’m trying to say is if you were ever a fan of Lifetime movies, you will be a fan of this book. I honestly dare you to try to read this book and not feel any kind of emotion at all from it.
The Silver Locket by Marie Fostino

I just finished reading The Silver Locket. It is a Young Adult Romance novel written by Marie Fostino. A young girl moves to a new town when her father gets a job opportunity. She finds it hard to fit into her new school until she meets some other people who are misfits like her. She falls victim to peer pressure and finds herself in over her head.

I really loved this book. I loved the story line itself because it was so beautiful. I also loved the message it sends to teenagers out there. I feel this was a very emotionally packed story. It moved you in ways you can’t even imagine. It not only hit the truth of the issue at hand head on, but it also gave all points of view on the situation in a clear light. I literally felt for many of the characters involved in the story.

I personally feel that this story may have been better off in first person. I think it would have been okay to switch off points of view throughout the story. It worked perfectly in third person too though. So I can’t really complain too heavily on this. I just personally feel that it would have been better off in first person. This doesn’t mean that my point of view is correct or incorrect. It’s just an opinion.

I fully recommend this to all teenagers and young adults. I also fully recommend this to all parents out there. I will even go as far as to recommend that people planning to be parents should read this book. I feel it’s a dramatically packed book, but I also feel it has a very important message inside it. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to read this book!
Pelican Bay: by Jesse Giles Christiansen

I just finished reading Pelican Bay. It is a book written by Jesse Giles Christiansen. It is about a small town that has a man who everybody is afraid of. Like most small towns, they feel they should know everything about everybody’s business. Some things are just better left alone though. The town soon finds this out.

I personally loved this book. It was beautifully written. It was also a real page turner. I was hooked until the very end of the book. It reminds me of this movie I once watched called Deeply. Kirsten Dunst plays one of the leading roles in it. The stories aren’t exactly alike, but they are similar. Both of them are very beautiful.

I honestly felt that a few scenes were brushed over. I felt that they could have been detailed a little more. I get that they didn’t fully go with the point of the story though so they didn’t need to be detailed too much. It would have just been nice to see. Other than that, I didn’t have any problems with the book. It was detailed well even if some of it was rushed over. It was greatly edited as well.

I fully recommend this book to teenagers and adults alike. I think both will get full enjoyment out of this story. I once participated in an event where there was a character war. Captain Shelby was in it. I voted against him. Had I read this story before participating in that, I would have voted for him. I fell in love with this story and the characters in it. I am pretty sure you will too!

I just finished reading Conjuring Darkness. It is the first in the Darkness series written by Melanie James. The book is about a lady named Lexi who is forced to take a trip to another country to save her sister from danger. She meets a man along the way and falls in love with him. Together they fight fear and danger while learning each other and uncover a mystery that is centuries old.

I really loved this story. I knew I would even before it was released. I was anxious and excited for its release. It has everything you can possibly want in a story. It has some mystery and suspense. It has romance and desire. It even has some action and a little violence. I had problems putting the book down.

I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I really look forward to it. Melanie James has the ability to really capture the reader’s attention. I like that about her. She is very easily one of my favorite authors. If you haven’t read her two books that are out, I fully recommend them. Especially if you like books with some spice and romance in them.

I fully recommend Conjuring Darkness. I promise that you will not regret it. As I said, I have been looking forward to this book since before it was even released. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed at all. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns of the book. I loved it.

I just finished reading Matter Of Choice. It is a romantic suspense written by R.M. Alexander. It is about a woman who runs into her high school sweetheart after twenty years. The feelings come back, but there’s a problem. She’s married. Her husband has suffered Amnesia for two years after an awful car accident. She’s let with the decision to stay with him or get back with the high school sweetheart.

I can’t believe how amazing this book was. It blew my mind. Even though I predicted some things that happened, I was still constantly being thrown a curveball. I love books like this. They are amazing! I loved every single dramatic twist it threw at me.

I have to be honest. I did notice a few typos and missing words here and there. There weren’t really that many though. Other than that, I didn’t see anything wrong. It was amazingly written It flowed perfectly from one scene to the next. I loved the many descriptions that were used. I loved how vividly I was able to picture everything in the book as I read it.

I fully recommend this book. I would definitely consider it a must read. I am sure others who have read it will too. If you like romance and you like some suspense and intrigue, this book is right up your alley. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read this awesome book!
Frost by Moira Keith

I just finished reading Frost. It is a novella written by Moira Keith. It’s about an elf on the North Pole Police Department who goes in search of a missing elf. If he’s not found in time, Christmas could be ruined. She also faces losing her job if she doesn’t find him and bring him back in time. All this would be easy for a cop with her skills if it wasn’t her ex that she was going after.

It was adorable. It was funny. It was an awesome story. I just about couldn’t put it down. It is definitely a super cute read! I love how creative Keith was with the story. I’ve never read a book quite so adorable!

The only problem I had with this book is that it was just too short! I feel the author could have taken this story a little further. Other than that, I fell in love with this book. I hope the author makes more stories to go along with the book. Maybe she can have a novella series and have different little stories with the same characters? I think it would be super cute! I’d definitely read them!

I fully recommend this book! Especially for all those readers who love reading holiday related books. It’s suitable for all ages from teens and up. This book is creative. It’s unique. It’s funny. It’s definitely worth looking into! I’m glad I had the opportunity to read this amazingly cute book!
Blood and Moonlight by Moira Keith

I just finished reading Blood And Moonlight. It is the first book in the Moonlight Trilogy written by Moira Keith. Wolves are turning up missing from a local pack in Vegas. It’s baffling the pack. They don’t know what to do or how to solve the mystery of why they are disappearing. They ask Kiara for help. Kiara is a half breed. She’s part fairy part wolf. Will she solve the mystery in time or will other wolves disappear? Is it too late or is there time?

I really loved this book. It was amazing. It was intense and suspenseful. It was spicy and bold. It was everything you could love in a paranormal mystery. There was even a little bit of romance mixed in. I can’t wait to read the rest of this trilogy!

I didn’t really see many problems at all with this book. I mean there were some typos here and there, but we all fall victim to typos now and then. Authors aren’t immune to this terrible thing we call typo. I kind of wish this would be made into a series instead of a trilogy. I can see it going far. This is just my opinion though.

I fully recommend Blood And Moonlight. If you love paranormal books, you’ll love this book. It is a very unique mix of fairies and wolves. Vampires are mentioned, but there aren’t really any vampire characters. It’s a great read either way! Don’t take my word for it though! See for yourself what I mean!
Closure by Angela Ford

I just finished reading Closure. It is a book written by Angela Ford. It is a romantic suspense. Jess closed off her heart to everybody after her parents died. She didn’t want to get close to someone and get hurt all over again. She becomes an FBI Agent who profiles online predators. She gets involved in a case that hits close to her past. Will she find the closure she needs? Will she open hear heart to someone and learn to love?

I totally loved this book! It was amazingly wonderful! It was greatly written. I was on edge throughout the whole entire book. Reading this book was like reading an episode of Criminal Minds. Only better because I got to know what people were feeling. It was simply great!

The only thing I didn’t like about this book was that I felt it was a bit rushed in some parts. Not enough for me to lose my opinion of the book, but enough to make me wish that it had been longer and more written out. It was great though. Even if I felt it was a tad short. It was amazingly written.

I fully recommend this book. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would recommend it. It’s very well written and thought out. If you like Criminal Minds (the television show for those of you who don’t know what it is), you will definitely like this book. To repeat what I mentioned earlier, it’s like reading an episode of Criminal Minds. I’m so glad I was given the opportunity to read this book!
Jubilee's Journey: Family Saga (A Wyattsville Novel Book 2) by Bette Lee Crosby

I just finished Jubilee’s Journey. It is a suspense novel written by Bette Lee Crosby. Jubilee and her brother, Paul, lose both of their parents. On the way to find their only living family, Paul gets involved in a robbery and is wrongfully accused of doing it. Jubilee is left without anybody she ever knew or loved because of it. Will Paul be found innocent or will he be arrested for a crime he didn’t commit?

I want to start off by saying that I really loved this book. I have to be honest and say that I haven’t fully read the first book yet. It’s called Spare Change. I did read some of it though and can’t wait to finish it. Both of these books have the power to sink you in from the very first few pages. I found that I felt for many of the characters. I love how well she picked up on the close minded hostility many southerners seem to hold on to as well. This isn’t an insult; just a fact.

I hated getting to the last page knowing that the story was now over. I’m left with a wicked book hangover wishing I knew what happened to the characters after the story ended. I’m sure there are many stories out there like this for me. It was beautifully written nonetheless. I’m so glad that I got the opportunity to read this book.

I fully recommend this book to everybody. I especially recommend it if you love suspense and thrillers. This is a real page turner for sure. Don’t get this book if you don’t plan on getting hooked on a book. Trust me on that. It is a book that you can really sink your teeth into. I can’t wait to read many more books by Bette Lee Crosby.
Early One Morning by Aubree Lane

I just finished reading Early One Morning. It is a book written by Aubree Lane. Two girls find themselves meeting a man they daydreamed over when they were teenagers. One of them winds up hooking up with him. They both find themselves helping him through a major custody battle that has more surprising twists than anyone could imagine. Will he get to keep his daughter and the woman of his dreams or will he lose them both?

I really enjoyed this book. I tend to like books that have many dramatic twists in them. I feel they keep a person on their toes. It’s one of my favorite types of things I enjoy when reading. Don’t get me wrong, I can do without it in a book. I’m just saying it helps keep my attention. I have to give the author major points for all the curve balls that she pitched during this book. I didn’t expect most of the things that happened until they happened. In fact, I found myself many times wondering what was going to happen next.

I have to be honest, when I first started this book, I didn’t think I would like it very much. In fact, I didn’t really get fully into it until the second chapter. After that, I got more and more sucked in. It grabbed more and more of my attention. I find myself glad that I didn’t set this book down like my initial intention was. I’m glad that I decided to stick it out and give it a chance.

I fully recommend this book. I’m very glad that I took the time to read it. This is definitely a romantic suspense that many romantic book lovers can sink their teeth into. I can’t wait to get ahold of the sequel to the book, Late One Night. It seems like a very interesting story. I guess I’ll have to wait and see!
