I liked the movie first and I enjoyed reading the book. It’s precisely what I expected it be. Wish it was not transphobic in parts. Also at times it’s pretty silly, but for the most part I could let the logic of the story carry me away.

Important read. Baldwin’s thoughts on the destruction that much of Christendom has brought on the world and its relation to race and colonialism are necessary to be heard.
