The Big Dream gave me nostalgia to when I was in middle school, as this is something I absolutely would have read then. The setting reminds me of my hometown (but a little bigger). The way Brandon interacts with his friends and the adults in his life even reminds me of how I interacted with those people in my life when I was his age.

Aside from nostalgic reasons, I appreciate that the story encourages working towards something you want, while also requiring accountability in multiple ways. I also enjoyed seeing the story center around a family that was fully supportive, even when holding Brandon and his friends accountable for their mistakes, earing the money for their car, and working on their car.

Thank you to the authors for providing me with an ARC to read. I really enjoyed it!
