This was an excellent adventure and a brilliant sequel to Kill The Father.
I love the characters. After Kill The Father I knew I just needed more of the incredible duo that is Colomba Caselli and Dante Torre, once again the duo did not disappoint and I just want to read so much more about their adventures. Another character I thoroughly enjoyed was our villain, who was absolutely brutal and terrifying, which I just loved. All of Dazieri's characters are so well done.
Story-wise Kill The Angel was unlike anything I have ever read, and anything I will ever read. The plot was so engaging and thrilling, the stakes were high and throughout the whole book the author kept me guessing - every time I thought I had figured something out I would later find out that I was never even close.
This whole series so far has just been so ingenious and original and I cannot get enough.
And after the ending I need the next book right now, and I am very excited for whenever that will be.
I highly recommend this series and I cannot praise it enough.

I’ve waited a few days to see how I felt about Kill the Angel. I really enjoyed the two main characters, Dante and Colomba, with their internet savvy and ball busting complementary package of sleuthing skills. But in the end, for me the novel just went on for too long with the plot’s believability diminishing with each further twist. The aspect of revenge killing resulted in an almost non-stop blood bath which was also a bit too much. I was left on the fence hence my three star rating. I think I should have read the first in the series, Kill the Father, before Kill the Angel to truly appreciate Dante’s traumatic background.

Having finished reading Kill the Father prior to this book I literally couldn’t wait to start reading as soon as I had finished the last page and now I wish the next book in the series was awaiting straight from finishing this one! Although I wasn’t as blown away (hahaha) as I was with the first book but it still cost me a whole nights sleep, my poor eyes felt like they had grit in them come 5am but I still couldn’t stop reading.

I am starting to realise Mr Dazieri has a passion for blowing things up! Not that thats a bad thing but I wouldn’t want to be one of his characters 🙂

The lead characters continue to be brilliant, each with their own flaws and challenges that expands further from book one and if anything more enjoyable in some pretty shite situations but the ending!! WTF??? Really!!!

The subject matter of this book is a pretty unique as far as my reading experiences go, starting with a deadly poison attack on a train entering Rome, seen as an act of terrorism by Muslim extremists ISIS. And as we follow Colomba with the investigation and her decision to turn to Dante yet again for his unique help it becomes clear that the so called terror attack wasn’t committed by terrorists, but by a serial killer who has avoided detection for years. And she (got to love female serial killers!) is a brilliantly clever antagonist to oppose Dante’s genius and quirks.

If you enjoy clever addictive crime thrillers then don’t miss this book – seriously!! You don’t necessarily have to read Kill the Father first as there is enough back story for it to work as a worthy standalone novel however I do really think reading them in order makes them so much better and the characters much more understandable.

This is 100% worthy of being in the category of Top Thrillers of 2018

Kept me interested from start to finish, and I'm glad to say that in the end I was pleasantly surprised. It's quite refreshing when you can't tell the ending or the culprit and yeah, maybe you had an inkling or a bit of a feeling about it, but then you read it and suddenly some pieces fall in place.
I'm already waiting for the third book, whenever that is going to be done. Again, the characters were funny, bold, smart - everything this book needed and maybe a bit more.

It's not a bad book or anything but it did not live up to the first book for me. If I hadn't read the first maybe I would have liked it more but I did so I feelt underwhelmed and bored by this. It's not easy being the second book to a great start. Not feeling excited to pick the third book up but might do in a later time

Ero super curiosa di capire come sarebbe proseguita la storia di Colomba e Dante, e questo libro non mi ha delusa.

Siamo di nuovo immersi in un thriller in cui nulla è come sembra.
Scopriamo parti nuove sui due protagonisti e conosciamo altri personaggi che verranno ampliato durante la lettura.

Una nuova avventura la fa da padrone in questo libro, in cui ci sono parecchi colpi di scena capaci di tenere viva l’attenzione del lettore.

Mi è piaciuto conoscere meglio Dante, capire un po’ di più come ragiona e quindi ho apprezzato le sue parti.
Anche la figura di Colomba mi piace molto, sebbene in lei non abbia visto una grande crescita personale.

Il finale cliffhanger anticipa il terzo libro che iniziò subito perché devo capire come finisce questa trilogia.
Nel frattempo consiglio anche questa lettura.

I so wanted this to be better than it was, but it just didn’t live up to my expectations having read the first one - there were definitely times I carried on reading because I was emotionally invested in the trilogy by this point, rather than because I was genuinely enjoying it. That being said there were exciting bits and it was good enough to ensure I bought the final book in the trilogy!

Pues regulero. El primero me gustó mucho, pero en este he echado en falta todos los detalles que disfruté del primero: el humor, conocer individualmente a Colomba y a Dante, la buena sintonía entre ambos, la participación de compañeros (Alberti, Santini, Rovere, Curcio, etc).

He sentido que no sigue dándonos a conocer a Dante y a Colomba, no sólo sus traumas, si no sus motivaciones también, sus preocupaciones. Quizá algunas quedan delineadas, muy esquematizadas, pero poco más. Creo que ha dejado abandonada la química entre los protagonistas en favor de un Dante enamorado, no ya como un adolescente, sino como un crío. Que sí, que tiene esa dualidad adulto-infante, pero es que tampoco ese enamoriscamiento queda definido, delineado, queda desdibujado y parece hasta salir de la nada.

La acción sigue presente y está claro que a Dazieri le gusta más una bomba que a un niño un caramelo
