Another fantastic story in the series. There's so many twists even some that are surprising. A page turner filled with action. Loved Isabeau and Ransom's story.

Thank you to the author Kayleigh King for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All quotes are taken from the ARC and are subject to change.

“Are we born killers or are we made killers?”

If you are a fan of underworld, the originals or even teen wolf then this book is for you. Shadow bound is the third book in the white wolf prophecy series. It is a sexy paranormal romance that follows Isabeau Claremont, a vampire fae hybrid and a wolf shifter, Ransom Weylyn.

Isabeau is a trained assassin. She was made to be an unstoppable killing machine, a vampire fae hybrid experiment. She is a weapon and a valued asset, that is until she goes rogue when she is sent to kill the alpha of a wolf pack. She is tired of people dictating what she does with her life. These people have taken everything from her, she has been tortured, starved and beaten, but no more. In order to be truly free, she needs to eliminate the source of all her suffering. Her plans for revenge leads her to a handsome wolf shifter that craves bloodshed and carnage. Upon meeting, an unbreakable bond is formed between the two.

“I find myself thinking of her arctic blue eyes at night when my wolf is too restless to sleep. I hear her raspy voice all the time, like a song I can’t get out of my head.”

“She is already mine; she just hasn’t figured it out yet.”

I didn’t think I liked enemies to lovers books before this one.
It’s definitely a slow burn so it took a while for me to really get into it, but once I did, man oh man I couldn’t put it down.
This is my first book by Kayleigh King and I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy. While it is true this can be read as I standalone I think I’ll be reading the first two books soon. Not only will the backstory have the bigger picture, but I’m captivated by the other couples in the book. (Not to mention I can’t wait for the next couple to come)

Isabeau and Ransom try hiding behing their masks. Ransom tries to hid the monster whithin, and Isabeau using her inner monster to mask her real feelings. And yet they can see right through each other. I guess that’s what makes them such a good pair. They know what it’s like to hid one’s true self.

They bring out the absolute worse in each other. Which is ironic because by doing so they are able to shed the masks in order to become better. Sometimes you have to give into the monster to become the good guy. They may have started out as hating each other but there’s a very thin line between love and hate. Especially when sex gets envolved.

Yes, chefs kiss

This book was amazing. What I thought was going to happen never did, the author had twisted and turns at every moment. When you thought you had gone through the emotional roller-coaster, you were right back on. The characters chemistry is of the chain amazing. The author leaves you wanting more. I can't wait to start the next book in the series.
