i read it as a standalone as i haven’t read 2 books before it so in starting it was kinda confusing but it picked up face after 3 chapters then i enjoyed it!! It give twillight vibes but its better than twillight atleast better than movie which i have seen. I really like her writing though this is first time i am reading author’s book. Ransom character is so down to earth and unbelievably understanding while isabean is difficult. They are combination of simplicity and complexicity. I am kinda excited to read jax’s story. ITS GOOD WORTH A READ.

Normally… (possible spoilers!)

When you read a series with different main characters, you tend to feel like the strong heroines are written the same — or have a lot of the same characteristics. It kind of makes you not want to keep reading the series because of the redundancy.

Not so with this series, I am thoroughly enjoying how each strong female lead is absolutely different (1st book - heroine is a sweet, intelligent, artistic, if a bit naive hermit/introvert. 2nd book - heroine is an intelligent, funny in a sarcastic snarky way [my FAVORITE kind of humor], tell it like it is chick who just gets things DONE. And in this book, the heroine is an intelligent yet stoic, take no prisoners as I demolish you with absolutely no qualms or feelings while doing so kind of woman. Isabeau is scary strong and I LOVE IT!) and how the series is so well-written. I seriously cannot help but immediately go into the next book and continue the journey.

This series is the first from this author for me, but it will not be my last. Also, I am seriously so excited for the next book with Remi and Jax - because this heroine is that: I got your back BFF; that sister who will threaten anyone that tries to mess with her brothers; and, that woman no one needs to protect because they KNOW she can protect herself. My kinda gal!

Thank you to the author Kayleigh King for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All quotes are taken from the ARC and are subject to change.

“Are we born killers or are we made killers?”

If you are a fan of underworld, the originals or even teen wolf then this book is for you. Shadow bound is the third book in the white wolf prophecy series. It is a sexy paranormal romance that follows Isabeau Claremont, a vampire fae hybrid and a wolf shifter, Ransom Weylyn.

Isabeau is a trained assassin. She was made to be an unstoppable killing machine, a vampire fae hybrid experiment. She is a weapon and a valued asset, that is until she goes rogue when she is sent to kill the alpha of a wolf pack. She is tired of people dictating what she does with her life. These people have taken everything from her, she has been tortured, starved and beaten, but no more. In order to be truly free, she needs to eliminate the source of all her suffering. Her plans for revenge leads her to a handsome wolf shifter that craves bloodshed and carnage. Upon meeting, an unbreakable bond is formed between the two.

“I find myself thinking of her arctic blue eyes at night when my wolf is too restless to sleep. I hear her raspy voice all the time, like a song I can’t get out of my head.”

“She is already mine; she just hasn’t figured it out yet.”
