The most satisfying part in this book was *spoiler alert but not really* the death of the most obnoxious character apart from the main character.
Zoey keeps being a disappointment and falling for the obvious mistakes and keeps not doing what she initially intended. I’m curious on what happens next but not really hopeful about Z.

I knew Loren wasn't to be trusted to bad he died in the book accutally im glad he died that's kinda of mean. I was rooting for Erik but I would be pissed if i walked in on my boyfriend cheating on me. So i get that one hope they can fix things thou. The Twins and Damien being mean like that about the whole Loren thing yea sucks but it was only once. But them being mad about Stevie Rae they had too If they make it through it they will show a great deal of faith in each other.

This book delivered much better than the first two. I'll add to my review once I've gotten some sleep. Read this in one sitting (stayed up until 4:30am :(

A friend of my roommate's loaned us 1-5 of the series, and I just got through the third one. I admit, it's an easy read and overall pretty addicting, but there are also major flaws with the books.
While I enjoy the *idea* of the series, the plot is WAY too predictable. And the drama...it's like the Casts are trying to be some weird mish-mash of Stefanie Meyer and Charlaine Harris. I don't care about Zoey's choice of underwear. I'm all about foreshadowing and hinting [i.e. Loren], but come on. I also understand that this series is YA, and that the kids in the books are bound to make major mistakes. However, Zoey is a smart girl; does she honestly just *not* get it?!?
Anyway. I'm going to finish reading the other two books that I have, and hope they improve. Or that Zoey's friends and grandma knock some goddamn common sense into her.

Well this ends up with a lot of the bad things Zoey has been doing coming to a head and now it seems like she has no friends. I like that the twist made someone not die but become a human again and that despite everything Zoey is trying to be good even though that makes her do stupid things. Clearly more people knowing about nefert is a good thing especially since one is a vampire. This book really hurried the story along and I'm not sure that was a good thing it felt quite rushed that everything happened so quickly at the end.
