Part 2 became TEDIOUS. Skipped ahead at the 60-ish% point to read ending. Book began as a short story and it should have stayed that way.

Real weird, real dreamy. Reader, I liked it. Points deducted for all the women seeming largely the same and general inconclusiveness on many points, but hey, maybe that's just smart.

I really appreciate the creativity to consider consciousness and dreams, and shadows of a person. He is a great storyteller but some may not appreciate the creative liberties.

It's not a book for everyone. But I really love how immersive this read was..... I feel enclosed in a library in a cold wintery town just reading away without a care. The ending is ambiguous but that is life!
