"The Lincoln Lawyer" was my first Michael Connelly read, so I especially love the books featuring Mickey Haller. In this one, he switches sides to become a prosecuter for one case. A twenty-year-old conviction has been thrown out, due to a DNA sample that doesn't match up. However, authorities are sure they have the right man. Mickey teams up with his ex-wife, Maggie McFierce, as second chair, and his half-brother Harry Bosch as his investegator.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked how it switched back and forth between Mickey's first person point of view, and Bosch's third person. You can't go wrong with the Haller-Bosch combo. I think this is Connelly's best novel in several years.

A terrific read. I like the change in POV and what it communicated about the different priorities and personalities of Harry and Mickey. Even the end, though it lost a little steam, supported the character development nicely. It's really rare that Connelly disappoints. He maintains a pretty remarkably high standard.

Continuing the successful pair race between Bosch and Haller, this time introducing Haller as a prosecutor, allowing the story to enfold both as a detective and courtroom story.
It’s cleverly constructed and entertaining and gave me the appetite to learn more about Bosch, so I’m going to pick up the early Bosch novels shortly

4.5, the first 98% was a 5 but I didn't love the ending as much as the rest of the book.

This book had so much potential... a defense lawyer is called on to prosecute a child killer; the child killer is out and stalking the investigator's house; he may be a serial killer, etc. But, wah-wahh, nothing happens. The ending was so incredibly LAME I could cry. I won't be reading anymore of these Connelly trash novels.

This book was great. There is something about the way Michael Connelly writes that makes everything you read seem like it is real and you are actually right there with the characters as they investigate and conduct a trial.
