Brilliant book. Authentic police work and very detailled view from the trial at the courtroom. I love Bosch and Haller!

This was one of my favorites in the series. So suspenseful. Also fun to have Haller, Bosch, and Maggie all working together on the same side.

Forgot to put this one in earlier. Really spooky book, very timely. Another in the list of Michael Connelly books that I zipped through & loved!

That was fun. Wish for a little more conclusion.

Loved it. Kept me going until the end, but ugh, what an ending. Kind of just fell really flat given all the other intrigue and tension in the story up until then. Enjoyed that it was just as much a Harry Bosch book as it was Mickey Haller. I’m still not the biggest fan of Maggie. Her righteous attitude and thorn against defense attorneys gets old really quickly. For all of Mickey’s optimism is met with her cynicism. But, I’m sure that’s intentional.

Can’t wait for the next read.

2.5 stars because I cannot stand Mickey Haller and the plot collapsed like a pancake in the last 30 pages. Obvious revelation was obvious, plot twist was unlikely, not enough Madeleine. Barely enough Bosch. Not remotely enough L.A.
