I love Michael Connelly's books and Harry Bosch is my favorite fictional character.
The real "reversal" in this book, in my opinion, is not Haller going over to the side of the prosecution, but Bosch's actions in the case.
The flipping between first and third person viewpoints took a little getting used to, but I'm glad that Connelly kept Bosch in third person and Haller in first. I'd love to ask him why he writes from different viewpoints.

good read.
Very interesting take when Mickey Haller works for the prosecution. Somehow as I was reading the story I thought the ending wouldn't end in the courts, but some kidnapping or some killing and I was right. Nevertheless it would have been interesting to see him win the case as a prosecutor.
The storyline was good and well developed. The ending was just somewhat weak. It would have been good to know whether Jessup did kill the girl or other cases as well.

I liked this book, but it was short and the end seemed to drop the ball.

I love these novels. They aren't big think books, but they're really entertaining.

I have to admit, I am loving the books more than the series on Netflix. And that’s saying something as I love the series on Netflix! This book had me hooked from page one! I was a little worried towards the end that it was going to leave on a cliffhanger, but it didn’t! Everything wrapped up nicely and set things up for the next book. I can’t wait to continue this series and see where things go!

Urg I don’t like the endings of these series. Justice never served!

This is a unique story for Mickey Haller, for in it...he finds himself on the Light Side (for some reason).
Also, the inclusion of Harry Bosch was done so well.
Plus, Maggie McFierce in the story is so much fun.
The use of a active/cold case at the same time. That was choice.
The bad guy was bad, but we got to feast on the way the story was layered and intricate, but still understandable.
The court room scenes were well developed and executed. We got to see the jury/judge deal with different situations. I hope that some day (if they haven't already) adapted this to the TV show. Sadly, they won't bring Bosch into the story, but will replace him with some other cop.
Also, this was the introduction of the two girls (Maggie/Mickey's daughter with Bosch's daughter). SInce I've read all the main books that Harry Bosch is in...I've already witnessed this (in a way), but it was good to see how it played out.
Very tense moments, and some really funny moments, too.
Really well written. I don't have the next book, yet...so will be putting this series on pause...till I get it. Soon, hopefully...soon.
