Beautifully illustrated, every last page is so much fun to look at, I could go through this book for hours on end. Beyond that, the story itself is wonderful and has a strong, caring message about the power of kindness and humility.

I love this book! Beautiful message about generosity and our ability to change; excellent illustrations with amazing, captivating detail; well-told story...there's nothing not to like. I appreciate the strong female protagonist who didn't bend to threats or pressure, just kept her positive outlook and maintained her integrity. The pictures are gorgeously colored and add layers and details to the story. A wonderful story for children and adults alike.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It made me think more about how I live my life than most novels. Truly life changing!

Way too long to use as a group read aloud, this book nonetheless would make a great one-on-one read aloud. The illustrations are gorgeous and the message is uplifting.
