As someone who was raised to give service to others, I wholeheartedly agree with this book's message. This would make a fantastic read aloud for all ages and would spark some valuable discussions about what truly makes people happy.

Jaeda especially loved this one. She was surprised by the beautiful end. I think it went over the younger kids' heads.

It's about quilts and it is all watercolored illustrations! For me that is just about perfect! :)

Wow, what a riot of colour! An utterly beautiful picture book with a lovely message: the more you give, the more you have. There's so much to enjoy in this book; I think my favourite is the waltzing blue Siamese cats. A great way to teach children that they can be rich (and happy) without possessions.

Wow! The illustrations alone are worth picking up this book, but the story is very sweet and reads like a cross between one of Aesop’s Fables and a fairy tale. I had to make myself read the story and skim over the illustrations because there’s so much to look at. Now I’m going to go look through it again just to focus on the pictures.
