I don't have strong enough feelings in either direction to leave a full review for this one. I will say there were some parts that I felt weren't entirely necessary while others could've been elaborated on a little more.

I don’t really read non-fiction, but flew through this. Well-written and infuriating.

It’s hard to know how to rate this book. There’s some great writing and an important topic.

I'm a true crime buff and honestly I hoped for more out of this. I liked it well enough and my heart ached for those women and for Erika. It also reminded me how angry I get about how much money colleges spend on football teams, coaches, and stadiums. Maybe colleges wouldn't cost so dang much for the students; but I will step off my soap box. Title IX rules are in place for a reason and I am glad that they are being more enforced now. The money spent on the teams may never change but I am hopeful one day that sexual assaults on campuses will disappear. Overall a good read but just not spectacular.

Started off a little rough with the author seeming like a bit of an unreliable narrator with a big ego. This book really grew on me though.

I was completely engaged until about 1/2 way. When she got more into her own life and the weather in the town I lost so much interest. Literally five pages on the sand storm for no reason! I loved the court case pieces and loved her comparisons of football to slavery - so much to think about and explore! But all the pieces of her own life lost me. I skimmed all of this parts.
