A disappointing read, because the question still stands of why didn't he have a relationship with his mother? Of course you can take conclusions out of the memories in the camp, but couldn't this writer write with his own words why? He has no problems describing the terrible things that went on. He even wrote them with a lack of emotions, so why not answer the question?

I am a big fan of autobiography-style books but this one was weird and not enjoyable to read.
