Great end to the series! I'm sad to see it end, but I will definitely be rereading these!

4.5. It was so good, and I would give it a 5, but he killed my top 3 favourite characters. Honestly! Apparently I need to be more careful about who I get attached to.

That was a bloodbath... but still a good ending. Longer review to come.

This would be more like 4 and a 1/2 stars for me. I felt closure with the series. I really enjoyed it... Well except for the parts (one in particular) that made me cry. Yep. I cried. If a book can make me feel enough to cry then i have to take that into consideration in the amount of stars I give it.

That was it? *sigh* It went a little something like this:

Jason: *watches baboons fight*

Rachel: He's sooo weird. I like him.

Everyone: Hey, let's split up.

Jason/Rachel: *awkward hug*

Book: *informs me over and over that what they're attempting is impossible*

Characters: *inform me that it's not impossible but incredibly improbable and that most of them will die by the end*

Characters: *run around*

Plot: *drags on*

Me: *bored*

And then the end....

Characters: Most of us are dead.

*FIVE YEARS LATER*

Jason: Corrine is hot.

Corrine: *looking fine*

Rachel: I'm going back home.

Jason: Bye!

Corrine: I've never said much of anything, I just looked pretty for most of this entire book, I cannot even be bothered to say goodbye.

Jason: *writes a paltry excuse of a letter to his parents*

Rachel: *takes it back home*

The end.

Me: WHAT?!

I love this series! The world is amazing, the friendships are genuine, the adventure is captivating and everyone has they own unique storyline and shining moment. Would totally recommend!

Fun fantasy series. I thought the different magical races where especially interesting. Just the right amount of humor. I'll probably reread these with my kids when they are older. The ending left questions for a sequel. I hope there will be more.
