Closer to a 3.5, but the rushed finale has me wavering on a rating. 90% of the story is in the past and the closer we get to "now" the faster the story goes....then WHAM! It's over. It felt as though N.J. had a set word count and didn't realize she was so close and had to rush to wrap it up. The story of Callie and Asa/Grease is great even if the fact it starts out with her being 16 is slightly icky...although it explains why her head is so far up her ass for a good portion of the story :) I would have loved to have seen after all the drama how they managed to make a family work and how Callie would have been able to integrate the MC into her life after all her hard feelings. I find it very hard to swallow that after everything she had gone through that one quick roll in bed with Asa (no matter how hot it might have been) everything would just be a-ok. Nope, not buying it. So yeah, the ending kinda took away a lot for me and took it from great to merely good, and will probably keep it off my re-read shelf. Luckily I still have Craving Constellations when I want something great.

3.5 stars

This is one of the weirdest books Ive read in terms of the timeline of the story - it probably made me take off half a star from my overall ratings as I was waiting so expectantly for something that didnt come? The book started off much better than book 1 in that I could feel the connection and chemistry between the characters. I didnt bother me much that the h was only 16 when they met because the H was being such a gentleman, taking things slowly with her and not rushing it after so many things happened to her. However, somewhere in between i kinda got annoyed at the h as she was a bit immature to me? Eventually i got over it but the biggest for me was the timeline of the story. So like the previous book, the author started the book in the present and the second chapter went back in time, so one would expect somewhere perhaps 1/3 or 1/2 way in to be brought back to the present right? But NO. There was no time jump back to the present and only at the last 5% were we brought back to the present and things were resolved and HEA - so weird and honestly disappointing for me.. nevertheless, I enjoyed this more than the first book in terms of the development of their relationship and the repetition when switching between povs was much less which is a good thing! Not particularly motivated to continue the series but who knows.

I love this series. Nicole has done the impossible by standing out in a sea of MC series. She writes with the perfect balance of gritty, angst, humor, and the warm fuzzies.

I didn't love this one. I know teenagers have sex but I guess I just didn't want to read about an extremely immature teen , with oppositional defiant disorder , have sex with a 20 year old biker. The h wasn't likable all and the H should have never claimed her. I just didn't like these characters much.

Reread x2. Man, second time reading this and Asa still kills me. Pretty sure I cried 90% of this book. Again.

Awesome 5 star read! It's been awhile since a book has captured and retained my attention completely throughout its entirety. I even re-read it straight after I finished and never once skipped through it which is a rare occurrence for me. I read a lot of biker romance and enjoy a lot of them, more than a few have made it to my favourites list and yet I found the plot here interesting/fresh enough to keep me invested. I definitely enjoyed this book better than the first, there was a lot of angst which I love and I'm glad to say that it wasn't centred around the usual drama with sweet butts, club whores or psycho exes prevalent in most biker reads. Enjoyed the writing style and if there were any editorial issues I can't remember because that's how deep I got lost in the story through such great story telling. This is a stand alone N/A novel with HEA. No cheating....hoping we get Ghosts story in the next book.

Solid 4 stars. Damn close to being a 5 star but then the ending felt rushed... Actually it felt like it just ENDED. It seemed like a great build up just to fall a little flat and be over.

I love that you can experience the growth this author has made in just one book! Book one kind of felt a little all over the place sometimes and hard to follow. This book flowed so much better. I LOVED Asa. He is one H that didn't make me want to throat punch him repeatedly. Callie was a typical h in some ways and then a crazy bitch in others lol. All around I adored the book, I didn't want it to end. But I hit 90% and felt like the climax had just ended and then the book just ended. I kept thinking something was wrong with my kindle app because it said there were 5 pages left and there was no way the book could wrap up in 5 pages ... Well it did and it left me with a slightly empty feeling.

Don't let this stop you from reading it. Don't even hesitate to buy it! I really did love this book, there is just even more room for improvement and holy hell, when she improves like I KNOW she will. Our minds will be blown.

This was a really good book. I liked even better than the first and I really liked the first. The interactions between the characters, along with the emotional growth that took place over the course of the book was beautiful. So well written!
