Craving Redemption by Nicole Jacquelyn
3.0
Closer to a 3.5, but the rushed finale has me wavering on a rating. 90% of the story is in the past and the closer we get to "now" the faster the story goes....then WHAM! It's over. It felt as though N.J. had a set word count and didn't realize she was so close and had to rush to wrap it up. The story of Callie and Asa/Grease is great even if the fact it starts out with her being 16 is slightly icky...although it explains why her head is so far up her ass for a good portion of the story :) I would have loved to have seen after all the drama how they managed to make a family work and how Callie would have been able to integrate the MC into her life after all her hard feelings. I find it very hard to swallow that after everything she had gone through that one quick roll in bed with Asa (no matter how hot it might have been) everything would just be a-ok. Nope, not buying it. So yeah, the ending kinda took away a lot for me and took it from great to merely good, and will probably keep it off my re-read shelf. Luckily I still have Craving Constellations when I want something great.
