Excellent start
I really enjoyed this book. From the beginning, the story sucked me into the pages and I wanted to know where this book was taking me. Farren’s character is amazing. She’s fierce, strong and completely capable of handling herself, but her backstory and past make it almost impossible for her to trust people. The guys are hot with a capital P. At first they have giant chips on their shoulders, but most of them come around quickly once they realize there’s more to her than what they first perceived. Overall, a great start to a new series, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I am taking off half a star due to misspelling rogue too many times, which was annoying.
Other than that, I love Farren and the guys. The story was interesting and I can’t wait to see what happens next. As per all of her books, I got sucked in very fast and didn’t put it down until the very last word was read. I want my own Revel and Poca.

5 ⭐️ (actually 6 if I could). I loved this story!! The only questionable thing was the number of people in her team. I got confused at times who was who.

I like the plot and characters, but this needed at least two more rounds of editing. There were a lot of basic mistakes.
Mild relationship spoilers:
the relationship is very slow burn, but they become friends quickly and they only bully her like once, the cranky one is reluctant towards her and insults her but its not for long and its not deep
Mild relationship spoilers:
Graphic: Death and Blood
Moderate: Child abuse, Panic attacks/disorders, Physical abuse, Torture, Violence, and Murder
Minor: Mental illness, Sexual assault, and Stalking

intriguing new series
I thought this book would be right up my street as it’s RH Academy which are two of my favourite tropes. I really enjoyed reading it and getting to know our main characters. Our FMC Farren has had a tough upbringing and is a real kickass, proficient as an assassin but who’s attending the Onyx Academy to escape from her evil father.
The premise of the storyline is intriguing and I loved how the team after initially underestimating Farren came to bond with her, some like Storm more reluctantly than others.
The teams challenges have started off well and I definitely want to find out what happens next, really enjoyed this book.

I enjoyed this book. It has the academy element, but oh so subtly and just as a jumping off point. You get a girl that should be pampered but is instead fierce. Then you get 6 yummy men and a tag along.
Twins, brothers, a vampire, and a shifter. Each with something to bring to the table in a fight and in love. Sexy, super into her, and with varying speeds of this girl is mine to get them chasing her.
She had a dad that did her dirty but created a badass chick that can handle her own. And left her wide open to be loved by the 6 men she gets assigned to team up with.
Let's not forget a hellhound familiar and a sassy horse. And an uncle that has her back. All of which seem to come in pretty handy when the headmaster gets shady and the realm sucks them into a challenge.
I would have happily read book 2 without the major cliffhanger but now I'm diving in. It's a fun book, the sexual tension just oozes from every page, and the tropes are done well enough you don't mind a cliche or two.

4⭐️ story, but again some grammar and spelling issues. Thankfully not as many as the lost ones series though. I’m looking forward to more from this world!
