Es una historia que despierta cierta reminiscencia entre Creeping Vine de Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors, [b:The Day of the Triffids|530965|The Day of the Triffids|John Wyndham|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1320530145l/530965._SY75_.jpg|188517] de John Wyndham, me atrevería a mencionar The Fly de George Langelaan y Frankenstein de Mary Shelley.

Back when I was eight, I was more of a Bailey School Kids girl and the thought of reading a Goosebumps book terrified me. I’d peak at the covers and immediately shove them back onto the shelf at my local library.

As an adult, who now likes horror movies, I get the appeal.

I didn't think this one was quite as well written as the first one but still an enjoyable little middle grade horror story and once again I liked the twist at the end.

So...Today my younger sister convinced me to read one of these books. I’ve never been one to read R.L. Stine books. So, I have to admit, I was nervous to start. The book was really short, so it only took me 2 hours to read. I really enjoyed it. It’s a really good book. Full of action and humor that made me laugh. My only problem with this book was the end scene. For me, it wasn’t a real ending. And I understand that that is how most of stines books end, so I feel like this book definitely deserves five stars.

I will be copy-pasting this for every Goosebumps novel I'll be reading.

On a whim, I decided to read all of the Goosebumps books. Some of them I've read before but, for the most part, I haven't. I won't be giving any stars; this doesn't mean anything about my actual opinion for the books, it only means that I don't think I can realistically, objectively rank 62 books which are not even meant for my age. I did enjoy the ones I read as a child and I am enjoying the ones I'm reading now, so that's what matters, I believe. Yes, there are some repetitive patterns and, yes, the endings are sometimes silly and, yes, R.L. Stine may not be the best of writers. Still, I feel like I have to commend him for two things in particular: first, for bringing the horror genre early on into our lives and, second, for subtly dealing with important family issues, such as moving away, a parent loosing a job, a accident happening etc. And I think the huge success of these books speaks volumes. So, I'll just be enjoying reading them in the following couple of weeks, not reviewing or evaluating them.

Weird coincidences alert: today I was looking online at Inkka shoes (specifically the Cyprus high tops) and that pattern features a mouflon (some sort of endangered sheep) and the “behind the screams” in this book talks about Ombretta, who was a cloned mouflon.
I have literally never heard of a mouflon before in my life, so this was too weird not to record.

Speaking of too weird, this is an odd book. Not sure Goosebumps has hit its stride yet and I kept mixing up character names again even though there were only really three to mix up. You win some, you lose some. At least now I’m very aware of what a mouflon is?

Edited to add: immediately after posting this, I realized Kyle is listening and singing along to Kate Bush’s “And Dream of Sheep” right now. This is nuts. Sheep all over the dang place.
