The Princess Bride by William Goldman

I was told that the book is similar to the movie, which is, for the most part, true. The movie was okay and the book was okay. I didn't like the language in either. There was a good story to it and interesting characters. For me personally, it's one of those books that you liked reading at the time, but wouldn't care to read it again.

I'll be honest, after the intro, the plot was kind of slow. It didn't pick up until after Jason discovered the first syllable for the Word. After that, the story was very exciting and I could not get over some of the crazy plot twists going on! Can't wait to read the second book!

If you enjoyed the Fable Haven series, you'll love this! Seth and Kendra are back, with new deadly challenges they must face. High adventure and exciting new creatures! Definitely a must read for those who love fantasy and adventure books. Can't wait for book two to come out!

Cold Sassy Tree is definitely unique (in a good way). The low rating was due to the fact that it just wasn't something I could really get into. Plus, I didn't care for the language, or some of the theology that the grandpa believed. Aside from that, it was an interesting read, but not something I would want to read again.

If you enjoy old southern life, scandal, and gossip, you'll probably enjoy this.

An amazing end to an amazing series!! I loved everything about it. From watching the characters progress and grow throughout their travels, to the ever building plot. I recommend this series to all who enjoy fantasy and adventure books.

Other than the dead bug smeared on a page of the library book, I enjoyed it immensely! I had trouble putting it down, and at the end, I was left with my mouth open. I'm so pumped to read the third and final book of the series!

I found this book extremely interesting the way the characters traveled from their "living" bodies to their "spiritual" bodies. What we call ghosts or spirits, they call echoes. I felt this book took a completely different turn from the regular shaping abilities we've been shown and took us to a whole new level. It was intense and had sort of a creepiness to it. If you enjoy fictional fantasy with hints of the spiritual/supernatural world, then this is definitely the book for you. If you've read the Beyonders, you will be pleasantly thrilled. I don't want to say too much, but I've got to give Brandon Mull a hand for his cleverness at pulling that off.

It's hard to believe I'm almost at the end of this series, it has been quite a journey and one that I could seriously see myself reading again.

Brandon Mull has done it again! A stunning and captivating conclusion to a fantastic series! From the start of book one, I knew I would love this series and I wasn't disappointed. Everything from the intense journey and growth the characters experienced, to the breathtaking climax, was gold! And the epilogue was so sweet!! I do wish we would have found out what happened to some of the secondary characters though.

I had a lot of trouble putting this book done and now I'm experiencing that whole, what do I do with my life now, feeling. Never mind, I know exactly what I'm doing now. I'm anxiously awaiting book 2 of Dagonwatch to come out!!!

P.s- If I ever find myself on a deadly adventure where all hope of surviving looks bleak, I will say to myself, die bravely...

WOW! words simply fail me when it comes to reviewing this book. I could not put this book down! It had everything the first book had and more: intense sword fights, touching reunions, deadly villains, unexpected twists, and light hearted humor. I absolutely love following along with Cole and his friends. It's so interesting to watch their progress and growth. I'm dying to read book three!! So far each book has been better than the last one.

If you love fantasy and adventure stories, you must give this series a read! You won't regret it.
