A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks

A Walk to Remember has to be one of my most favorite Nicholas Sparks books. It's a really emotional read, it gets me every time. The characters and plot were both great. I love Jamie and Landon. Jamie is sweet and kind hearted, and Landon is the bad boy that falls in love with her. Get's me every time!

I really didn't think I would enjoy reading this book, but to my surprise, I loved the story. Ok, I will admit that most of the book is very... descriptive. VERY. But if you overlook that, it's a wonderful story of love and heartach, loss and betrayel. I love this book. Be patient with it, and read it all the way through. It was worth it for me.

I didn't think I would, but I actually really enjoyed reading Water for Elephant's. The plot and characters were well thought out, and the details were wonderful. The setting and the story were just great. I really enjoyed this book, and can't wait to see the movie.

I won a copy of Somber Island from a First Reads giveaway on Goodreads.com. A big thanks to T. Lynne Tolles for sharing your book with me.
Phoebe MacIntire was young and sickly. She had polio when she was a child, which caused her to have a limp. Her father, knowing that he will never be able to marry her off the way she is, sends her away to be a servant to a man named Lord Jacobs. After a very difficult journey by boat over the Atlantic Ocean, she arrives at her new home and finds it completely empty and filthy, with only a note from her new ‘Master’ to welcome her as she gets acquainted with her new surroundings. Little did she know that the house is haunted, and her master is definitely not what he seems.

This was an ok read for me. It took me a while to get used to the authors writing style. It was a bit on the simple side, and I felt there was a lot missing from the storyline. The characters were likeable; Phoebe has a very sweet nature. The relationship between her and Nathanial was really sweet. I also enjoyed the characters Samuel and Jonathan.

There were a couple parts in the book that I just didn’t connect with, unfortunately. Otherwise, this is a quick, interesting read. (I love the cover!)
How to Shop for Free: Shopping Secrets for Smart Women Who Love to Get Something for Nothing by Kathy Spencer

With the help of my sister and her friend, I've recently become a savvy coupon shopper. I'm saving tons of money, and that helps to save for other more important stuff. I learned of this book from Kathy's "How to shop for Free" website. (http://www.howtoshopforfree.net/) I'm really glad I purchased this ebook for my nook. It was a really informative read. A lot of stuff I already knew, but there was so much information in this book, I'm still processing it. If you want to save a buck, this book will definitely help you with the process.
Happy Ever After by Nora Roberts

Happy Ever After is the last book in the Bridal Quartet series by Nora Roberts. The previous books in the series have been great, but I think this one was my favorite. We finally get to read about Parker, and what makes her tick. Malcolm is completely different from the other men in the series. Definitely a bad ass, and I think he was the perfect man for Parker.

All the books in this series were fun, happy books. Perfect curling up on the couch on a chilly fall day. I really enjoy this series!

Grave Surprise is book 2 in the Harper Connelly series by Charlaine Harris.

This book was a quick, mysterious read. I read it in just a few hours time. Not as good as the first book, but still a nice, quick read if you are looking for one.

This book was only OK for me. Kind of slow paced. I had a hard time getting into it. A quick read, however.
