Seal of Honor by Tonya Burrows

This book had all the twists and turns I’ve come to love about Tonya’s books! I really enjoyed Gabe and Audrey. Audrey really doesn’t let Gabe get away with anything and will go toe-to-toe with him; she helps soften though rough, grumpy edges. Gabe helps ground Audrey and I’m always a sucker for the protective book boyfriends. I enjoyed this one!

Maren can do no wrong in my eyes. I loved every second of this one! Parker & Quinn have clearly always been meant to be, and I loved their dynamic. It’s a quick novella with all the small town, Christmas-y, brother’s best friend, feel good, spicy vibes you could want. Perfect for the holiday season!

I was dying to know Chet’s story after glimpses of him in the first two books, and my heart broke for him. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with Mia, but they kept getting thrown together, and the pull between the two of them was too strong. I loved the way Chet & Mia showed up for each other, and was on the edge of my seat the entire book. I cannot wait to continue this series!

I love a good cozy mystery! I’ve loved Ellie’s books, but this was the first I’ve read in the Secret Bookcase series, and I immediately need to go back and read the first few books. I loved that there was both a mystery that took place throughout the book, as well as an overarching mystery that seems to span the series itself. I really enjoyed the gingerbread-baking competition and all the cozy holiday vibes it inspired. I loved Annie’s character and getting to know the community she’s part of in Redwood Grove. I really enjoyed this one!

I adored this one!! Fletch & Destiny truly are the epitome of grumpy/ sunshine and I ate it up. These two have the best flirty banter and kept me laughing. Destiny’s optimism and sunshine are infectious; you can’t help but smile around her. Oh my heart absolutely hurt for her as we learn more about her, but the way Fletch shows up for her? Even before they know each other? I was smiling through the tears. These two have a connection–neither are willing to acknowledge it could possibly be more, but they’re truly meant to be. Watching these two fall head over heels and find their happily ever after made me so happy. This one had all the warm fuzzy feelings of falling in love, even with the moments that tug on the heartstrings. I loved this one and couldn’t put it down!!

The perfect small town, forced proximity Christmas read! Levi & Fallon are everything. The banter between these two? Obsessed. Levi’s holiday spirit was infectious, and I loved Fallon fighting so hard against his love of Christmas when she wants nothing to do with the holiday. A travel mishap leaves Fallon accidentally snowed in at Levi’s cabin, and they could only fight the pull between them for so long. These two have plenty of heat, and the mouth on that man? They might have been snowed in, but girl I was sweating. I devoured this one, and it had all the small town holiday vibes I wanted!

I don’t even know how to put this one into words beyond I loved it. I have been obsessed with every one of Catherine’s books, and I truly don’t know what she puts in them because I’m addicted. I devoured Cope & Sutton’s story. I loved getting to learn more about Cope. To learn about the pain he’s hidden from the world for so long, convincing himself that’s the only thing he deserves to feel. That pain was palpable. Sutton helps him see he deserves more; helps him feel more. And can we talk about the way Cope shows up for Sutton and her little boy?! I mean the way Sutton cares for Luca and works to give him the world is already awe-inspiring with what she’s been through. Then Cope steps in and supports her; he works to show her how incredible she is. The way he connected with Luca? Swoon. I absolutely love Cope & Sutton as a team and the way they’ve created such a safe space; the way they both allow themselves to be vulnerable and fall for each other. It wouldn’t be a Sparrow Falls book without Lolli showing up–she is such a breath of fresh air amidst all the twists and serial unalivers running around. The whole Colson fam really shows up for each other, and the group scenes and texts are some of my favorites! This one brought all the feels–it had me wanting to fight so many side characters and had me full on ugly sobbing (it hurt, y’all), but it also had me feeling so giddy and swooning over Cope & Sutton’s love while being on the edge of my seat for the next twist. I absolutely loved Cope, Sutton, and Luca with my whole heart, and this one was absolutely perfect.

My heart was so happy to be back at Resting Warrior Ranch! I loved Jensen & Kenzie–very much opposites, yet fit together so perfectly. This has all the suspense and twists I’ve come to love in this series, and I loved watching the connection between Jensen & Kenzie build. I’m a sucker for that protectiveness all the Resting Warrior guys have! Absolutely loved this one!

Oh my heart. This one brought allll the feels. Deacon & Charlie have a history, which started out with a v intense meet-cute. When Charlie shows up as Deacon’s new tenant, they’re both confronted with that history. They’ve both dealt with their experiences in very different ways, but throw in some forced proximity, and they can’t keep avoiding their connection. The connection that goes deeper than just him being the one to save her from a fire years ago. These two have so much chemistry. Deacon tugged on all the heartstrings with his story, and my heart broke for him. I loved the way Charlie continued to show up for him and broke down his walls. This one has big feels and lots of heat, and my heart was so happy Deacon & Charlie got their happily ever after. They deserve the world.

The way I ate this one up!!! This one has all the warm fuzzy feelings of winter and Christmas; it felt a bit like being in a snowy, Christmas bubble. And honestly? I wouldn’t mind being in the bubble with Lucas because I love that man!! He’s hot and sweet, and completely smitten with Eira! I loved the connection between Lucas & Eira! This was a quick, spicy holiday read, and I loved every second!! Obsessed.
