My Darling Mayhem by Ashley Munoz

yes, hi, i looooved this one!! archer & wren are everything. wren is so fierce and will absolutely do anything for her son. she’s just trying to create a quiet, safe life. enter archer. the motorcycle club president who moves next door. she’s got reasons to be wary of him, but oh this man snuck under all her defenses with the way he kept showing up for her and her son, and i ate it up. i absolutely melted at archer with the kids. literally all the swooning. and i loved that he was all in with wren because the two clearly had a connection from the start, even if it took a second to get there. he’s so protective and won’t take any bs, but could also be the absolute sweetest. i was on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns, and these two have plenty of heat. it was all just *chef’s kiss* and i loved it!!!

A Wedding in the Lowcountry by Preslaysa Williams

Avila returns to her hometown after her mother’s death, and oof. Cue the emotions. She’s dealing with grief, with the memories that come with being in her childhood home, the pressure of being a single mom, feelings for her childhood best friend, and anxieties about creating connections or friendships. Navigating her mom’s estate leads Avila to learning more about her parents and having to make tough choices. I can’t lie, she did annoy me a bit with how hard she rejected help, even when it would benefit her daughter. I really loved Trevor and the way he consistently showed up for both her and her daughter.

Nothing Breaks Like A Heart by Barbara Freethy

I’m pretty sure I was on the edge of my seat the entire book! This one is full of suspense and twists that I didn’t see coming. Lauren gets saved from a fire by Andrew, they quickly fall in love, and are in the midst of their wedding week when their happily ever after starts to look a little questionable, and I ate it up. I felt more and more suspicious as new secrets came to light, and I had to know what was next. I really enjoyed this one!

When We Burn by Kristen Proby

Obsessed. Absolutely devoured. Oh how I love Bridger & Dani!! It’s clear these two have been close since they were kids, and now that Dani’s home, Bridger’s determined to try for more. And I loveeeee a man who’s down bad. Bridger and his daughter, Birdie, were adorable, and I loved how easily Dani fit into their dynamic. Dani’s story absolutely broke my heart–I knew it was going to hurt after what we learned in Holden’s book, but oh that girl is so fierce and strong. This one brough big feeling, plenty of heat, and all the sweet and swoony moments. I’m just completely obsessed with the town of Bitterroot Valley, and cannot wait for more of the Blackwells!!

The Wedding People by Alison Espach

Phoebe finds herself entangled in wedding festivities when she hadn’t even planned to make it through the night; something kept getting in the way of her plans. I enjoyed getting to know the other characters–they were much more complex than they appeared, and Phoebe took the time to get to know many of them. I loved watching Phoebe try things she’s never have done as if she had nothing to lose, just letting herself figure out what she wants and enjoying life. I really enjoyed this one!

The bittersweet ending to the Runaway Series! I so wasn’t ready. I really enjoyed Karson & Clara–the way they’ve always had feelings, yet never the right time, the way they always wondered about each other, the way those feelings came right back when they were finally face-to-face again…then that epilogue?! Oh my heart. I loved this entire series.

Did I devour this in a day? Yes, yes I did. I couldn’t put it down! Killian & Lilah are everything. They’re the definition of it’s always been you, but there was so much hurt that tore them apart. Lilah’s life being in danger has Killian unable to stay away, no matter how hard she tries to push him away. And I’m absolutely obsessed with this growly, protective fighter. All their time together means they inevitably face their past, and oh it hurt. But these two have always been meant to be. They’re fire together. I loved Lilah’s determination to take back control of her life. I loved seeing how protective Killian was, even when she hated him, and how sweet he could be, even with that gruff exterior. And can we talk about those plot twists?! Because my jaw was on the floor. I loved this one, and I now need to go back and read the rest of this series!! So good!

Playing Mr Perfect by Melissa Foster

brb catching the next plane to Paris to see if I can spot Clay Braden wandering around
No but for real, I love this man. This man is smittennnnn. He’s had a thing for Pepper since the beginning, and I loved watching him try to convince her to give him the time of day! I loved watching Clay chip away at the walls Pepper has built up between her anxieties and her dedication to her work. He saw something between them, and wasn’t going to walk away without shooting his shot. I love how he recognized what was important to her, and did what he could to protect her. I related to Pepper so hard. I loved watching her find herself and learn how to balance work and love, allowing herself to be happy. I loved how she saw behind the “Mr. Perfect” facade. Their banter had me cackling, and they have plenty of chemistry between them. I absolutely devoured this one!!

The way I’ve been waiting for this one!!!!! I just knew Otto & Raven were going to be so good, and these two have me in such a chokehold now!! I devoured their story. Otto & Raven have so much more history than any of the other guys realize. They’re best friends, they have their flirty moments, but they hadn’t crossed that line. Throw in some forced proximity (my favorite), and they can only avoid the mounting tension for so long. I absolutely love Otto and how he’s Raven’s safe space, always has been. I love the ease of the friendship between them, which only makes them that much stronger together. And can we talk about how far gone Otto is for her? I love a man obsessed. Otto & Raven both have some demons they’re carrying, with Otto seeming like he takes on the weight of the world, and my heart hurt for him. I just love the way these two show up for each other, the chemistry between them (it’s hot, y’all), and that they finally get to be together, even if it was a rocky road to get there. Otto & Raven are perfect. I absolutely ate this one up. Obsessed.

I’m a sucker for an enemies-to-lovers, and I loved Brody & Aria. Like devoured it in a day. I ate up their banter, I loved watching them find their way after supposedly hating each other for so long, I loved Brody showing up for Aria in the ways he knew how, and Aria breathing life into Brody. So good, and immediately diving into Clara’s book.
