This book left me with so many questions. Did she keep the her pet? What happened next? Do I like actually like this book? Why do I like? Am I still thinking about this book? I think the best way to describe this book is it’s so bad that it’s really good. (Not the writing but the disturbing subject matter) Like a horror movie with too much obviously fake gore. You should read it.

Absolutely love Archer! So happy he got his own story. I love all of Rebecca Jenshak’s books and this was no exception. I love getting to revisit characters from previous books as they interact with the current main characters.

This was the second book I’ve read in the past few months that involved accidental cannibalism…even so I really enjoyed reading it. I found this book to be pretty funny between all the murdering. Ezra and Kindra were meant to be. Definitely will be reading the next book for more of Cat and Bennett!

Absolutely loved this audiobook! I got lost in the story and was constantly looking for time to listen to it. I found it very captivating. I will be recommending it to everyone. I also loved learning after reading that this story was inspired by the life and diary of the actual midwife Martha Ballard. (I read a lot of books blind, based on title, cover, or because Instagram buddy reads say to).
