I just don't like the main character. I feel bad for her but it's very much like she's just stuck in her head all the time.

My first Murakami read and I can see why he's so beloved in the literature world. Was an interesting plot with several events happening within a single night but at times it got rather abstract and even philosophical. So I was a bit confused sometimes. Yeah I'd say it was decent :)

A deeply moving book that'll stay on my mind for quite some time. I liked how we're able to see the events of the story unfold through Nuri, whose perspective we come to learn isn't always the most reliable. How he loses everything he loves, and is forced to try and start again with his wife who's become a shell herself. A story of broken people trying to become unbroken. That's how I'd summarise the book in a sentence.
Graphic: Child death, Violence, and War
Moderate: Mental illness and Sexual harassment
Minor: Suicide

Honestly the manga is proving itself to be superior to the anime (season 1 was a good one though)

As a massive fan of the anime (apart from season 2 we don't talk about season 2) I thought it'd be nice to start reading the manga series and it was great! I loved how similar the characters design/plot is to the animated series.
