Re-read, changed from 3 stars to 4.

Not sure why I rated 3 stars - this was way more interesting than Volume 3!

I forgot to mention in Volume 2's review, when it was revealed that Dream condemned Nada to Hell because she rejected him I was pretty unhappy. How petty of him, how utterly egotistical... What a fucking jerk, I remember thinking.

So with Volume 4 set up to deal with his pettiness, I was slightly mollified, but still grumpy.

I was thrilled that Nada slapped him for his awful "apology".

Damn, that Lucifer really likes to monologue, hey?

Re-read, changed rating from 4 to 3 stars.

The stories were alright, but nothing exactly compelling or horrifying like those in the first two volumes.

Just... mildly interesting.

Obviously can't help but compare with the Netflix adaptation - noting and appreciating the differences. I still love both the original content and the adaptation
(casting Stephen Fry as Fiddler's Green is just chef's kiss, also Vivienne Acheampong is fantastic as Lucienne / Lucien).

Thought it was interesting that I found the Hector/Lyta storyline actually made more sense in the Netflix adaptation.

It's been so long and after having seen the Netflix adaptation, I wanted to read the original graphic novels again.

I was pretty impressed how closely it was adapted (and how well), noting where they gender-bendered (or ethnicity or both, in some cases) some characters.

Belinda is such a viper. I despise her, but not to the levels of Miranda from [book:The Spirit Thief|8097637]... She's getting there though.

I so wanted for Belinda and fucking Parry to leave empty-handed, but this is the second book in a trilogy, so bad things need to happen to drive the last book (I guess). I had an awful feeling that Belinda was going to use her siblings as a bargaining chip, but not like that! Oml, this asshat took it so much further than I thought she would have. Absolutely ruthless and unhinged.

Poor Fitz though, hope he can fly again. And that poor hatchling T_T

I feel a little sorry for Reginald - he was totally bamboozled and only realised it now.

I wonder if Belinda has worked out she's got some glamour abilities now (seeing how in the first book the narrator said she wasn't aware of what she could do). I'm hoping she's too self-involved to realise her power.

Took a while for me to get into it, felt like it dragged on a bit. Also! Totally didn't really feel the love between Sonea and Akkarin - it was luke warm at best
