No Ordinary Love by Myah Ariel

This is my first read by this author, and I was not disappointed. Ella and Miles, the way they met with the wardrobe malfunction, had to be the cutest thing ever. Him literally giving her the shirt off his back. But then Elliott showing up after his manager told Ella that he wasn’t coming? And what he did in stage? I wouldn’t have been mad if Miles knocked him out. Elliott deserved everything he got, especially when he tried to get at Miles and file that police report, trying to make Miles out to be this hothead after what happened between him and Morales.
Miss Janet was a spitfire. I loved how to the point she was and about her business, making sure Ella came out on til in the divorce, but even without her, Elliott was going to lose anyway. Ella was surrounded by a group of people who love her and who she loved. I mean they went to bat for her, but she did the same with Sheryl and her ill husband. Friends aren’t made like that anymore.
Ella’s mom and Miles’ mom are polar opposites. Ella’s mom got on my nerves with the audaciousness of the emails and that lunch meeting, to that despicable phone call, projecting her own situation onto her daughter. The nerve. And Miles’ mom was definitely acting like a real mom. The part where he said he couldn’t be mad at Ella because his mom said so, I fell out.
I’m not really into sports/music romances, but this one was really cute and warm. I also liked how the spicy scenes weren’t so graphic and detailed, they were just enough to get the point across. This won’t be my last read by Myah.

I knew Hendrix story was going to get to my heart.

Hendrix is the type of of woman that I used to be. Didn’t want children. Didn’t need a man. Than I had a child, and now I want a husband. And I get where she was coming from. I knew that things were going to get messy between her and Zere. Zere, to be 40, is a very childish and immature woman. She had a whole man, and still felt some type of way about Hendrix being with Maverick. It wasn’t like she and Hendrix were friends, so I didn’t understand the whole “girl code” thing.

Bolt and Skipper took me out. The attraction was there, but all they felt that they could give each other was their bodies. And the thing is? They were made for each other.

Hendrix’s mom having Alzheimer’s was hard to read. I’ve never experienced that or known someone with it, but I’ve read about it and seen it on TV, and I know it has to be hard, especially when it’s with your own parents. Kennedy did her thing with being sensitive to the topic. But that’s the thing about Kennedy, she does her research and asks questions.

Maverick. Maverick. Maverick. My man, my man, my man. He is the epitome of the type of husband I would want. He literally drops everything for Hendrix, even when they were together. And the roses? The way he took care of her mom, given his experience? Just the way he cared period. It doesn’t get any better than that. And I love that Hendrix allowed him to, refusing to allow Zere to stand in the way of experiencing that kind of love. Despite her keeping Hendrix from producing the show with Chapel, Hendrix wasn’t about to let Zere take her man. She was very mature about it too, putting Zere in her place.

This series has been so beautiful to read. All three women are so lucky and so spoiled.

SN: I was actually hoping for a pregnancy, lol.

Toni is one of my favorite Christian romance authors, and this book had me hooked from the beginning. I will definitely be reading the series.

Holiday and Emmett have this history of bickering, but the thing is, on his end, it’s a crush, and her end, it’s annoyance and almost what seems like hatred. That changes quickly when Tori has Emmett move in with them temporarily.

I loved the added mystery and twist of Tori’s stalker and the budding romance with the bodyguard. I’m interested in seeing where that goes.

I pray that Holiday and her father make up.

All in all, this was really cute.

This was beyond messy and so many secrets. Rosemary should be ashamed of herself for not believing Anise. No wonder Anise turned out like she did. And poor Cinnamon and Cayenne. So was Paul, Cayenne and Sage’s father, really a pedophile and raped them? Thank goodness for Jax who was a bright spot in Cinnamon’s life. The ending was super sweet.

This was so cute!! Jaedyn did not play about Dumebi my favorite line was, ““Fall, baby, fall. I’m already on the ground, and I promise I’ll catch you every time.” He tucked my hair behind my ear. “And, falling isn’t such a bad thing, especially when we do it together.” I nearly cried.

This was legit such a cute read. I love how Quinton renewed his faith. Despite his background, he really turned things around. Zarah definitely misjudged Quinton, and I’m glad she was wrong about him. Now her daddy, he was way too over protective, but I love the relationship he and Quinton developed. Cree was super intuitive for his age, and I loved that about him. Makes me continue to believe that there will be a man to walk into me and my son’s lives and complete our family.

I mean…Tom being the boyfriend who Bonnie was dating? I knew that. I did think that he was slug for the longest, impersonating Tom. Now, Gretchen being Daisy and having killed all those people, including her best friend and Slug? Plot twist. Tom taking care of Kevin was unnecessary, though with the lock of hair, was it Tom or Daisy? I knew Jake would eventually make his way back into the picture. This was good!

I am floored. So this whole time, Celine was married to Mateo?? I am so confused. Tatum raped and killed Aubrey. Mateo killed Tatum and Tatum’s parents covered it up. I knew that Tatum’s family was suspect! Aaron was also very suspect. So Mateo wanted to be Tatum so bad that he took his identity, and became Tate. Dakota was accidentally murdered by Tatum’s adoptive father. Daphne killed Bradley????
