The Dinner Guests by Kiersten Modglin
3.0
This book is perfect for a fun little binge read but not more then that.
It's funny, very fast paced and the real life escape room concept was very well written. However the character's are super blunt and not flashed out. Throughout the book I barely managed to tell them apart. They all felt like the same person and honestly it didn't even matter who was who.
The plot is also nothing crazy or mindblowing. It's actually a pretty basic plot twist and if you are someone who's read a few thrillers you will have read atleast one book with the exact same outcome.
Nevertheless I don't regret reading this and it was an enjoyable quick read.

- Plot- or character-driven? Character

While I personally really loved Molly and emphasized with her a lot, the crime aspect itself sadly was rather boring. The plot twist was super mediocre and predictable.
If you like character driven thrillers, I would recommend this one. Sadly, it didn't work for me the way I had hoped it would.
