This one didn't really work for me. I just didn't buy the moves from we hate each other to hook up to I love you. It needed to be a lot longer and be more fleshed out for it to work.

I don't really feel like I know either character. I think Nick is an alright guy but also a bit of a pushover. He just kind of went with the flow and never stood up for himself. Ben is the more pushy but he was the one whose changes didn't work.

It wasn't a hard read and I did enjoy parts of it, but I just needed more to make it work.

Not my favourite of the series which is a real let down as I've loved Mikey from the moment we met him in Jason's book but in this one I just didn't connect with him and he came across as angry and bitter. 

I understood that what happened in Paris was mistake and Alex was totally to blame to for that, but he wouldn't talk to him and I felt for Alex here. He was doing everything he could to make it up to him and to make him see he wanted Michael. When seeing it from Michaels point of view I see where he was coming from, but he also needed to communicate it.

Most of the time I felt for Alex. He was trying his best to get Michael to talk to him and when he wanted out he let him go. I was amazed at the end that everything got turned into his fault. Yes he made mistakes but it wasn't all on him.

The ending felt very rushed to me.

This series has amped up a bit in this and the previous book, with the introduction of the veterans now the rehab facility has been opened. I really enjoyed seeing how Daniel interacted with Travis.

I loved Travis. Yes he had his issues but once he decided to help himself he did whatever was needed. He never backed away from the problems and never denied he had them. I liked that the problems didn't mysteriously disappear once he and Avery got together. He still had to work at them. His empathy to Mikey was lovely especially when he had his own issues as well.

Avery was also a great character. He did his best to be supportive of Travis and be whatever he needed him to be. I loved his relationship with his brother Jon and Clare.

Good addition to the series 

I Liked Jamie and Ian together. They worked. It was nice to see someone who resisted the Friday nights due to being single and not wanting to be a loose wheel. It was entertaining watching all the guys try and get him to give in an come, and how it was finally done was good. 

I liked that the problem with Ian was resolved pretty quickly once his memory came back.  I did want it to be a bit more fleshed out in some sections but that is this series. It’s a quick get to know you series and so it was it is 

Good quick read.

Not my favourite of the series which is surprising as it had the blurb to be and I’m always a sucker for the bad boy, but to me Mitch really didn’t seem that much of the bad boy.
he actually came across as very unsure of himself. I do like the fact that he took responsibility for his sobriety and while he could recognise his parents part in his issues he didn’t put all the blame on them. The way he also stood up for his sister and niece was fabulous.
Liam was a good character too. He had his blow out and judged Mitch early on without knowing all the facts but he owned up and apologised. 
I love the way the guys were all so great with Bobbie. She was a fabulous character and a ball of energy but still managed to be portrayed as a child.

Thank you “The Elf on the Shelf”

Good addition to the series where we get to see Kieran one of the original Friday boys get his man.
I really liked Kieran. He was so stable and mature. He knew what he wanted and even though he was a bit embarrassed at not recognising Jason he never doubted himself or that Jason would want to see him. He stood up for himself when needed and never let the guys walk over him.
Jason was also a good character. I felt for him with his grief and guilt. Kieran was good for him as he let him talk it out without judgment. 
I was wondering how they were going to get around the fact that they both lived different lives and I enjoyed how that was resolved.

Great end to the series, we started this with Paul and Simon and finished on their HEA Story

In this one we get to see what Paul and Simon got up to when Aaron and the crew were in Washington. I found it interesting to see events from Simon and Paul's side when Aaron was injured, how they reacted and reaction of the rest of the pack that wasn't with them.  

It was at times sad and showed the difference between some of the packs, the compassion of one and the total callousness of another. Paul's mentor Doc was fabulous and you can see where he learnt his caring manner from.

Audio Review

Fabulous end to the series. It was action packed throughout and each time the team looked like they were stuck in a corner they came out punching.
It had a return of all the gods that have appeared throughout and it was highlight seeing some of them, many fought hard for their side, while others just turned up when there was little to do.

A big shout out to Gary Furlong. With a cast of thousands here he still managed to kept everyone's voices, which is always a battle in audio, but whenever someone spoke I could tell who it was. He had me alternating between crying at parts to laughing out loud like a loon at some of the antics. Well done for a great series

I did want to know more about some of the side characters. Nadine for one, but maybe it will come out more in Spencer's book

I've struggled this year with my concentration and have found myself getting easily distracted and meandering off to do other things as not many books have kept my attention. Before starting this one debated whether to read it or read something else as the last two books, while I enjoyed them didn't fully keep my attention, I'm glad I decided to keep going as this one hooked me and I had no problems with distractions.

I loved Rory and Nikolai. Both had been through so much and both of their actions had resulted in them being apart. Nikolai wasn't the only one to blame and Rory made sure to let him know that. I felt so much for Rory. He really isolated himself and I liked the way the guys all treated him when he was brought in.

The way the story was worked around everything else happening worked for me, I think that helped to keep my attention as there was so much going on.

I enjoyed this one. 

I really liked how Dylan and Alex were with each other. They didn't rush things. It was made harder Dylan not knowing he was a wolf and having to be taught all about it.
 
I said in the last one that I didn't like the way the packs were and how Aaron basically told Brandt he had to join the pack or leave. That resolve was tested here as Alex and Dylan made their own pack and the way they were was very different from the others. Alex was not alpha material but then Dylan didnt mind him being his alpha. I liked the way Aaron gave them time to work it out and didn't push them too much. He knew Dylan couldn't submit to him so a solution was made. I felt for both of them as they had to give up their families but that way they were safe together. 

It was interesting to see what had made the wolves come out and how that was handled.
