Somehow, despite an interesting premise and pretty writing, this felt a little flat to me. Trite? Or self-absorbed?

Very well done, with a few excellent twists, and quite the cliffhanger ending! On the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment!

Fun meet-cute, with a steamy romance, a little bit predictable, but not in a terrible way.

Less emphasis on the mystery in this installment, and far more on the adventure. Really liked the Fae stories and rhymes woven into this book. I am still finding Toby a frustrating character, occasionally she feels very willfully obtuse.

Further development of the Jack and Jill characters/plot from Down Among the Sticks and Bones. I found it a messy (of course) but satisfying end to the sisters' rivalry.
