This was one heck of a rollercoaster so fucking epic ! Writing this with tears in me eyes, I need book 2 asap ! Pet: Genesis is now alongside Heart's Prisoner as my fave sci-fi books of all time 😊

This book started off really strong with an awesome plotline and the forced/arranged marriage trope, the Male Lead was a powerful dominant Mafia Don and an absolute sweetheart with a soft spot only for his tesoro wife 💕 But then "certain events" happened and unfortunately the story became very boring, repetitive, with atrocious cringe smut plus bad inconsistent characterisation and terrible writing/dialogues...

Amazing world-building, action packed and engaging plot with very interesting sci-fi elements ! My only complaint is that the romance/relationship dynamic was off, held no interest to me and felt very forceful. Also, the mmc Ezraji's personality/actions gave off real weird creep vibes which was definitely not romantic whatsoever YIKES 😬
