Was this weird as hell? Yeah. Will I read the next one? Absolutely. Honestly, I am super intrigued by the lore of these aliens. Somehow…it makes sense. I am definitely here for the long haul.
My complaints are mainly about the writing style. So many of these sentences feel awkward and clunky. Like I’m reading a movie script with poor dialogue. But the story is interesting, so I’ll continue to read them!

I mean, this was…weird. But that’s what I signed up for when I picked it up! If you’re looking for a ridiculous and nonsensical good time, then I definitely recommend. 😆

This short story packs a big punch. Iris is a fascinating character. Returning to school at an older age to earn a higher degree is daunting, but she is a confident woman who knows what she wants — including the professor she’s been fantasizing over for months. I fell hard for this elegant and enigmatic lich. This glimpse into Dead City leaves me curious and wanting more! I hope we’ll see more of this world and these characters soon.

A vampire romance to die for with new twists on a classic monster! I can’t decide who I relate to more — Barnaby or Maisie. What could be better than a sunshiney perfectionist with a grumpy bookworm? Watching these two warm up to each other was such a delight! Barnaby’s story is heart-aching and dismal, but he learns to find joy and laughter again through his relationship with Maisie. The epilogue was such a perfect conclusion to their story, but I hope this isn’t the last we’ll see of this couple! I can’t wait to see what more stories will come from Hollow’s Cove in the future.
