This was a heartwarming story of an older grumpy man finding love in his life. I loved the found chosen family aspect and I found it so touching. Although it touched my heart by the end, I just found the book right in the middle. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it as well:)
All I have to say is that this book is everything to me! Roman and Iris are the cutest and it had me blushing, giggling, and kicking my feet throughout the book. THE MAN JUMPED IN FRONT OF A GRENADE FOR HER LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
The Sword Above Us follows the story between the two soulmates Zale and the dragon king, Axel and how they work to fight their relationship and shadows.
This is by far my favorite and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! It had action, romance, and two very powerful main characters.
It was just amazing and I am obsessed with the series! Zale and Axel have became my favorites for sure after this book.
The Stars Against Us is the story between Maddie’s best friend, Sam, and Simeon.
All I can say is that it was amazing, the plot had me hooked, and their love couldn’t compare to the others in my opinion. The ending had me shook and now I can’t think clearly!
I loved it and I can’t wait for the new one to come out!! This one is the best in the series so far!

The Pieces Around Us is the second book in the Shadow Dragon series. It is more romance than fantasy and focuses on Jenna’s brother, Jesse, and his love interest Maddie so each book so far focuses on different characters and can almost be stand alones.
I think that Jesse’s and Maddie’s relationship moved really quick. Like really quick and I was kind of hoping that Jenna was going to announce they were soulmates to justify it a little bit but it was just insta love. Although it was quick I liked them and they were cute even though Jesse, in my opinion, was a bit controlling at times.
Overall I was hooked once again and I can’t wait for the next one!
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
4.0
The Cord between Us has the unique storyline idea of dragons actually taking form as humans and how they live throughout the world.
Although amazing, it was a bit predictable at times but it did not stop me from enjoying every bit of this. I know Kipp and Simeon kept me reading ;)
I usually do not read fantasy and I’m hoping to get into it more but this book has an awesome plot that was never boring and had me entertained from the first chapter. It had romance, action, magic, and (the obvious) dragons!! What more could a girl ask for!
I loved this book and it ultimately made me want to get back into tennis!! The only thing I had a problem with was Carrie’s personality. Although she is described as a strong female character, I think she really lived up to one of her nicknames from the book “the bitch”. I just don’t think that being rude and bitchy equals strong. As the story went on though she did have a very strong character development that I appreciated, I love the father and daughter duo, and I really liked how realistic the story is. Overall an amazing story and TJR never seems to disappoint me!!
This book had me hooked from the jump! I really loved the story outline and how it is basically Evelyn telling her story while being interviewed by Monique. Although Evelyn was not a likable character at times and everything she did had a motive I liked that most of her reasoning is the love she had for her person and daughter. The plot twist at the end had me so shook that I had to stop reading and process a bit. Even though it basically for shadowed it a few times I still did not expect that exact storyline to have happened.
