It took me a minute to write this review but I’m finally sitting down and writing it. What can I say except that I need more! I loved this story so much! I have a soft spot for royal/normal people romance stories. At first I was hesitant to pick up this series since many books like it have disappointed, but not this one. The story follows Wren after the whole end-of-the-world happens and everyone is back to normal but girl is still smitten for her man. I don’t want to spoil to much but there is some royal secrets and she need to go back to London with Theo. Along for the ride is Naomi, her best friend, Brooke, her older sister and Theo’s siblings, Henry and Victoria. And of course the best character Comet. I love the easy yet meaningful writing style. I usually hate island crash but Kara made it work. I literally had emotional whiplash with all the turn plots and twist and honestly it’s written as someone that has a lot to think about. The story was written as Wren would have. Something I do miss from the first book was there banter. I miss the American girl nickname. I miss the description of his blue eyes. I miss their dynamic. It change and understandable do. Wren was a go getter with a plan and in the second book she was mostly the wondering soul letting fate decided which was a very different conviction to her dislike in fate in the first book. I also miss her sarcasm. yes it was a coping mechanism but it was her! Also this wren made to many mistakes it was kind of annoying at some points. Theo also seems more mature and it makes sense because around his siblings he is the protective older brother. But the depression he spoke of in the first book is gone and I wish there was a growth there. But overall, highly recommend!!!!

It was an amazing book. I loved the fairy tale mixed with modern day timeline.
