I don't know how a book of fairy and folk tales managed to be so dry and boring. A few of the stories were good, but most of them really didn't hit the mark for me. Also, a few of them were written in the dialect of a 19th century Irish peasant, which made this a slog to get through since I am not very familiar with that dialect

Was not a fan of the kidnapper to lover trope. I enjoyed the plot of the fantasy aspect, but Feyre annoyed me a lot as a character. I felt like the characters were not very well fleshed out

I found this book very informative and thoughtful. It gives a renewed purpose to the importance of ecology and nature in my daily life. The prose of this book was often quite beautiful in terms of its philosophical depictions of nature, though the book itself did drag on at times when discussing a lot of the denser subject matter, such as the historical, philosophical, and linguistic basis for his beliefs

Why did they put 3 books worth of (attempted) world-building into the last third of the final book in the series? Random info about gods that were very central to the plot being suddenly explained as they make crazy deus ex machina scenarios. This seemed like they wanted to change the ending of the book to make it seem like the main character was a good person the whole time when she was actually evil, which was the whole point of the book. Absolutely horrible character development that was unrealistic and made no sense. Horribly written series with many plot holes. In the second half of the novel, Adelina's choices made absolutely zero sense with her previous characterization, and it was a complete nonsensical mess.

Very slow start, but the writing towards the end of the novel was very gripping

The character development, world building, and writing of this book are all horrible, yet somehow just based on the concept I'm enjoying reading it
