this sucks. there's no "its alive" there's no cool scifi constructing of the creature it just kinda appears, barely kills anyone and you dont give a fuck when it does, then it just disappears. nothing fucking happens. 90% of this is just.. words. i couldn't put it down because it felt like the start to a good book but there was no good book it was 300 pages of bullshit small talk. the real monster wasnt Frankenstein or his creature, it was how overrated this book is. i wasnt a big fan of the karloff movie until now, because its such an improvement on a boring tale. if you want boris karloff as a green monster though, i would recommend the grinch. i felt like i was reading the dean koontz frankenstein and not the original it was so cheesy. how did the monster learn to speak so intellectually? get back to grunting, show off. stupid, stupid book.

This took me an atrociously long time to read it's actually crazy. I was reading like, a page a day because I just kept rereading the same lines because it's so funny. This is quite literally an antique breakup text, if anything, Oscar was too nice. Fuck Bosie. Hate him.
