Evermore by Alyson Noël

Umm, I guess this book was okay...mostly. It was nice to have a psychic as the lead for a change, but I suppose I expected more from the book. The plot got a bit predictable, and Ever kept repeating all her actions-god, she likes pressing her lips together :/ I did like the little side story-line with her dead sister Riley, and the whole idea behind the book. I guess my favourite character was Miles, as he was a bit cooler than Ever, and Haven annoyed me a bit. But that's just my opinion, I'm sure plenty of people loved this book, I'm a bit surprised I didn't as it's my favourite genre.I may try Blue Moon, to give Alyson Noel a chance. Maybe the next one in the series is better? ;)

I love Terry Pratchett-he's funny, original and his ideas are kick-ass. This book was, like his other books, really original and humorous. I don't think I've ever disliked a Terry Pratchett book, and I doubt that will change :)

I liked this book. It was unusual, and I liked the fact that the concept of 'vampire' changed again in this book. The vampires can go out in daylight, without sparkling, burning etc. but they do not show up on camera or video records.
The story itself was quite good-April Dunne is happy with her life, until she has to move to a dull village called Highgate. She has to attend a posh school for the super rich and the genii of the country, and fitting in will be a real challenge. She finds friendship in conspiracy-theorist Caro, and together they try to piece together the mystery surrounding the school: the disappearance of several students, with no proper explanation or further contact. All the while, April becomes aware of the mysterious Gabriel Swift. She doesn't understand his hostility at their first meeting, but gradually they get closer as friends and possibly more (don't want to reveal too much, even though it's kinda obvious).
The main part of the story ties itself up, but the book did finish with a cliffhanger. Anyone know if there's a sequel? I hope there is, it was an enjoyable read that kept me hooked :).

I LOVE this book. Seriously, it's my number one. Well I have two or three number one's, but still, you get the picture.
The whole series was great. It's different the the usual vampire/werewolf meets girl, they fall in love, big battle towards the end against some evil vampire/werewolf and then a happy ending, possibly resulting in a sequel. Don't get me wrong, I actually like books like that, as long as they have a bit of variety to them.
Now, back to this book. It does have vampires, werewolves and other paranormal creatures, but mixed in with some kick-ass Shadowhunters.
At first, I was worried that the lack of first person would deduct from the experience, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It didn't make a difference, and it did give us a few chapters focusing on Simon or Jace, aswell as Clary. Damn, and now that I've mentioned Simon I must start on him..
Simon-The first vampire that can walk in the sunlight a.k.a Daylighter.
He's been in love with Clary since they were kids, and it breaks his
heart to see her head over heels for Jace. I was so glad when he
found Maia, and I hope it carries on with them in the fourth one.
He was my favourite character, but it doesn't mean that I like Jace and Clary any less, or any of the other characters. The characters develop throughout the series, which is always nice in ongoing books. They adapt to surroundings, their new life and eachother, and have realistic personalities.
I can't wait until the fourth book, couldn't believe my luck when I discovered there were to be 3 more! And of course the Infernal Devices. Mmmm... :)

For me, this book was quite good. I neither love it nor hate it. It's fast-paced, thrilling and full of exciting twists. You're probably wondering why I don't LOVE it? Meh, I like action books, but romance and paranormal mysteries remain my favourites, which is why this book isn't up there.
One character did irritate me throughout this book-Ketty. She seems quite childish and weak in comparison to some of the others, and is oblivious to the fact that Ed is better than Nico. But, on the other hand, I did like the other characters.
Dylan was quite interesting. Her medusa power isn't as mentioned as the others' but it's still pretty cool. She does use the word 'freaking; a lot, and I did want a bit of a change sometimes, but that's just a silly, small point.
Either way, if you want a short, exciting read then this is ideal. The characters don't stick with you, but the story keeps you hooked.

I really, really liked this book. Yeah, there are a lot of werewolf stories, but this one's different. I liked the story itself and the characters, an the ending was pretty damn exciting in my opinion.
Isabel was always there to provide some comedy, Sam and Grace for some romance and a great, original-ish storyline. One of my favourite books :)
