Some of the writing wasn’t that great and even a bit cringe. The character reveal at the end was rather obvious. I’m not sure why the book was called “Five Broken Blades” when there are six main characters. I also wish the audiobook narrators had been more consistent with the voices of the main characters and the side characters. Some readers gave the characters accents while others did not. I don’t think four readers were necessary for this book, especially when they all read the characters very differently from each other. I’m interested enough to continue on with the series for now.
