as much as i rolled my eyes at the obnoxious amount of alcohol metaphors, and while i wasn’t sobbing like everyone else, the last few chapter hit me harder than i expected them to (,: i truly feel like the second part saved this book for me because while i love nothing more than when a man isn’t speaking, i will eat up reading the mmc’s pov every single time !!!!!

a story on the loneliness of existing, a mundane life, and the complexities of it all. there’s nothing particularly notable about Stoner, yet i found myself enjoying this book for that alone.
