A sweet retelling of nursery rhymes. I love how creatively the line worked it's way into each one.

A fun romp through a host of fairy tales with witty illustrations. Great use of onomatopoeia.

Cute illustrations. The story is perfect for younger siblings that might feel out of step with the family.

Charming, Disney-style illustrations and a witty "what if" construction in the text. I also like the use of different text colors for the different characters.

Absolutely charming! Phelan's soft illustrations give a lot of feeling to the robot and the story. I also love the robot's little rhymes!

I love that the damsel saves the knight from the dragon! However, the title is a little misleading (the book feels more about the storytelling monsters than the dragon) and the implied ending is a little dark.

I love the metaphor of the loud monster as self-doubt or other intrusive thoughts, but the solution is too clean and simple. The delicate illustrations steal the show!
