Loved this book! I actually like it way more than the first book in the series. Heading back to the world of Dream Harbour was so fun and I liked that these characters weren’t completely new to me. I have to admit, it took me a little while to start liking Hazel but I loved her by the end. And Noah is just something else entirely. I feel like their relationship was so believable and real, their characters were truly fleshed out. I’m excited to read the next book in this series.
A fast paced and lighthearted easy read! I found the characters relatable and the whole small town vibe was so fun to delve into. My only negative thoughts on this book were that because of the fast paced nature, some things seem to have been brushed over a little too quick and felt somewhat unnatural. Overall, it was a super easy read with likeable characters and a cozy aesthetic.
Although Colleen Hoover gets a lot of hate, her books never fail to get me out of a reading slump. This is only the second book I’ve finished this year but I can honestly say I found myself wanting to pick it up and continue the story. I love Sky and Holder a lot and I am so glad they got their happy ending. I feel like it was paced well and nothing felt rushed or out of place. I’m excited to read the second book and experience this story again from Holders perspective.
This was my least favourite in the series so far but I still enjoyed it! I just felt like nothing much happened and it wasn’t as memorable as the others. I was excited to see the mention of my hometown, Leeds, and I hope this makes it into the show.
i enjoyed the movie but didn’t like the way the book was written. there was way too much of elio rambling on about how obsessed he was with oliver and not enough actual plot. i didn’t exactly like either of the main characters. elio’s obsession was creepy and weird and uncomfortable to read. oliver was clearly a groomer, it wasn’t even the age gap that got me it was oliver’s reaction to elio regretting their time together and how he was clearly manipulating a minor because of his guilt. for some reason, even though this book made me angry and uncomfortable multiple times, i still enjoyed the ending of them both being adults and reconnecting. i found myself wanting to read the second book even though i probably never will.
I loved this a lot! It gave similar vibes to the last of us (minus the zombies and daddy issues) and I loved both of the main characters and was rooting for them. The ending was a tiiiiny bit extreme, but I was actually very happy with it.
the first maybe 100 pages of this book were good, but the plot got slower and slower and it just wasn’t keeping me interested anymore. it put me in a big slump for weeks but maybe i’ll go back and finish it one day.
